2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

Time to let your heart and brain dance and sing for the celebration of a great new year ahead! Chinese broadcasting stations took their turns to invite as many Chinese stars and celebrities as possible to their platform in the last days of 2016. How did it fair? Fairly equal. Find your favorite stars down below. I think it’s a solid end to 2016.

20 minutes to go before the closing of curtains on 2016! Last post is this humongous compilation of videos. Forgive me if there are mistakes….I am holding a drink…or two. ;]

Adam Cheng and Karen Mok sing for Stephen Chow’s The Mermaid

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I know many don’t follow or have interest in this movie but I do. They dropped the themesong for the movie sang by Adam Cheng and Karen Mok and it’s epic! I was brought back to the good old tvb days when their themesongs were carefully worded and well performed by the chosen singers. I’m literally still flailing right now! GAHHHHHHH! So good for my nostalgic heart strings!

But let me clarify that it’s a remake of the song You’re the Best in the World by Roman Tam and Jenny Tseng. Cookies for anyone who knows which drama it is under. The younger generation might not recognize, it’s okay! Lol.

Tang Yan and Han Geng lead Chinese Odyssey Part Three

Girl is never gonna take a break! If I were to plan a celebrity vacation, Tang Yan and Zhao Li Ying would be the first to be shipped off somewhere exotic to enjoy a few weeks. Stephen Chow also adapted his own version in 2013 called Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons. The same director, Jeffrey Lau, will be re-inventing the storyline to match with today’s audience.

What’s up with the trend of adapting stories from classical novel Journey to the West? I see at least four different versions being made into the film this year… *shrugs*
