Sina’s Weibo Awards Night 2016
Another year of weibo night. To be honest, the awards seem to matter less and less each year. Show up? Here ya go. Beside the Weibo King and Queen of the Year, I didn’t really read about the others. Lol.
2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations
Time to let your heart and brain dance and sing for the celebration of a great new year ahead! Chinese broadcasting stations took their turns to invite as many Chinese stars and celebrities as possible to their platform in the last days of 2016. How did it fair? Fairly equal. Find your favorite stars down below. I think it’s a solid end to 2016.
20 minutes to go before the closing of curtains on 2016! Last post is this humongous compilation of videos. Forgive me if there are mistakes….I am holding a drink…or two. ;]
Chen Peng to adapt Butterfly Lovers into a Boy-Boy Romance
Chen Peng may be a young director, but he is certainly bold in his approach of promoting gay dramas. Graduated from Capital Normal University, he’s the chairman of his own production company. Recall that he was the director for two webdramas, featuring the same leads in the first ancient gay drama (Love is More Than A Word) to a republican series (Till Death Tear Us Apart). And here he goes again, remaking one of the four Chinese classic folktales, The Butterfly Lovers (梁山伯与祝英台) into a boy-boy love story.
Rainie Yang gathers her favorite male costars for The Audience
LOL! So much fun!! On the upside, Rainie is having a blast promoting her new album, in which she invited many friends and past co-stars to star in her music videos. The latest mv is titled The Audience and three of Rainie’s past male leads participated. They are Mike He (Devil Beside You), Wilber Pan (Miss No Good), Show Luo (Hi My Sweetheart). I only finished Hi My Sweetheart (which was also a struggle in the latter half). heh. She also has a song featuring Charlene Choi. The mvs are beautiful to look at… but on the downside…. the songs put me to sleep. Watch the BTS, folks!
New Year Music Shows From Various Chinese TV Stations
Alrighty, it’s that time of the year again where Chinese Broadcasting stations fight to get the most popular artists to perform at their New Year Music Shows. I will try to add as many performances as possible! Check to see where your favorite stars went!
Happy New Year to all of our drifters! Looking forward to another prosperous new year on this ship. ~~~ ^___^ ~~~
