You Are My Glory tells the romance between top star, Qiao Jing Jing (Dilireba) and aerospace engineer, Yu Tu (Yang Yang). In the ten years they have not met, Qiao Jing Jing has risen in the entertainment industry to become the female star in everyone’s heart. But the male god, who rejected her confession all those years ago, is now stuck between pursuing his dreams and being financially successful. This time, they’ve met again in King of Glory; a mobile game Qiao Jing Jing endorses. To maintain her campaign image, Qiao Jing Jing needs to improve, fast. Like Gu Man’s standard male lead, Yu Tu is a genius who is naturally an amazing gamer, so there is no one better to be her in game teacher. Will the missed romance in their teenage years, be able to blossom this time around? [Written by Iridescent]
After years of rumours and changes, Qie Shi Tian Xia (且试天下) finally held a booting ceremony on 20 October. This drama is the highly anticipated adaption of novel of the same name by Qing Ling Yue and will be directed by Yin Tao (Love and Redemption, Under the Power, Listening Snow Tower). However, there was an absence of leads and no official confirmation at the ceremony. It has finally been confirmed today at the Tencent event that Zhao Lu Si will headline this drama. Her rumoured male lead is Yang Yang, but he is not yet officially confirmed.
I did not expect that in my lifetime there would be a global pandemic happening. It is – still is, very tough. Working in a major hospital, I was very fortunate to have a job through Covid but there were definitely some selfish moments where I just wanted to stay home and stay away from the hospital, where protocols and procedures keep changing every single day as we learned more things about the virus. Colleagues falling sick and hospital dispatching some of us to different areas, sometimes unrelated to our job; some smaller hospitals were sending my co-workers to work at the morgue. >.<”
I don’t know what to expect from these dramas but maybe all we need is a little thing called hope to keep us moving forward. Having this blog and some of you guys to chat with has always been the anchor of my sanity. So thank-you for that! Stay healthy, stay informed, stay connected, and stay calm! We are in this together.
Did you guys have a good week? My week consisted of realising just how far into the year we already are. And with that the week really flew past and is now approaching the end. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Color me intrigued! That is a good trailer! I haven’t been super interested in any of Yang Yang’s recent projects but this one might be the one to pull me back in! China Special Forces (特战荣耀) is modern drama following the coming of age story of our male lead as he joins the military to gain his father’s approval. His talents astonish many people and also gain him side-eye dislike from one of the leaders and he’s then assigned to the cooking crew. Who would have thought that the cooking team is packed with talented people hiding their skills. He works hard and is then assigned to a special armed team (forgive me, I don’t know the technical terms). But during a mission, our young, ambitious male lead chooses heroism over teamwork and thus begins a journey of humility and genuine camaraderie within the team.
The weekend has started~. Here’s a wrap up of photoshoots of the week. Kappy told me to take over, but what she doesn’t realised is that I’m biased and there are a small handful of people I actually keep up to date on.
