The trailer surprises me a bit, didn’t expect the OTP scenes to be quite romantic, dramatic, and plentiful! Adapted from the novel Records of the Southern Mist House (南烟斋笔录), the official English title is The Love of Hypnosis with Boran Jing and Liu Yi Fei leading a solid cast.
Liu Yi Fei and Boran Jing‘s return to dramaland is the drama adaptation of manhua Records of the Southern Mist House (南烟斋笔录) written by Ke Xiao Sha. The story follows our heroine who is the owner of a incense/spice shop and and she has a great mission of unwinding/solving tangles of the heart for her clients. The less you know the better! Methinks. 😛
Well, party’s over for me, back to work and blogging. Lol. Manhua adaptation of Records of the Southern Mist House with Boran Jing and Liu Yi Fei have been filming for a while now and despite not having official stills, we have plenty of fan-taken photos and videos to share!
And it’s official! The drama weibo has confirmed its main leads and it was rumored for a while already. Liu Yi Fei and Boran Jing will return to dramaland to film manhua-to-drama adaptation of Records of the Southern Mist House (南烟斋笔录) written by Ke Xiao Sha. I tried reading the story and ultimately “found out” aka remember I can’t read manga/manhua/manhwa like a regular student when I was in high school. My eyes just can’t follow the bubbles in the right order and I walked out of that manga club! So I’m hoping some of you guys have read this manhua and tell me what it’s about. All I know is that our heroine is a boss/owner of a incense/spice shop and and she has a great mission of unwinding/solving tangles of the heart for her clients.
Miss Liu will film this drama and then train for her Mulan movie! Filming begins on 12/28!
Directed by Niki Caro (Whale Rider, North Country), the new live adaptation of the famous female warrior Mulan in Chinese classic tale has cast Liu Yi Fei in the titular role. My reaction? I’m rather disappointed….mainly because I was really rooting for a new face to be in the role, especially for the younger group of Chinese actresses who fight nail and needle for their first big break onscreen. Yi Fei doesn’t need that anymore, but investors want their money worth in the Chinese market, so it’s understandable why they went with a well-known face. Still, my hopes….dashed.
