Huang Jun Jie and Li Kai Xin lead youth drama The Big Boss

Upcoming youth drama, The Big Boss (班长大人), is adapted from manhua of the same name illustrated by Chen Lan and Chen Qian. It puts young stars Huang Jun Jie (Fox in the Screen) and Li Kai Xin (Solaso Bistro) back in students uniforms, because yunno that’s the time period we miss the most. Lol. As always they are polar opposites and have known each other since childhood.

They are ridiculously pretty. Like whooa!

Second Trailer and confirmed air date for Rakshasa Street Drama

Manhua series Rakshasa Street (超级网剧镇魂街) written and illustrated by Xu Chen gets a drama adaptation starring Jiro Wang (Looking for Aurora) and An Yue Xi (Tornado Girl 2). Release date has been announced to be August 2nd with 24 episodes. If you’ve been reading news about this project, you know I (and a few others) have watched the anime! The effects aren’t shabby at all. While Jiro is not my “older” brother material, I’m gonna be hopeful! Please develop the female character because her story doesn’t get anywhere. Lol.

Confirmations are in for Bolin Chen and Jing Tian for The King of Blaze or Fire King (火王), a Taiwanese comic written by You Su Lan, the second installment to her The Seven Mirrors’ Stories series. I have never been a comic reader so has anyone read this author’s works before? This manhua specifically?

Rakshasa Street Drama drops First Trailer with Jiro Wang and An Yue Xi

You are either gonna have productions that release stills every 3 days or ones that don’t release a sniff of anything! This webdrama is unfortunately the latter. Drama adaptation of manhua Rakshasa Street stars Jiro Wang (Looking for Aurora) and An Yue Xi (Tornado Girl 2) in a supernatural modern world where there’s hell and heaven, and the in-between dimension.

Beside two new posters + first trailer, we have nothing else. Lol.

Ao Jiao & Pian Jian: Dilraba Dilmurat, Zhang Yun Long, Vengo Gao

The literal translation is Pride and Prejudice but I figure that won’t do well with the literature folks. Romantic comedy film Ao Jiao & Pian Jian (傲娇与偏见) is the adaptation of a manhua written by Mei Mei Mao. The last time I wrote about this project was in 2015. A year went by and now the selected stars have hit a new high in their careers. Dilraba Dilmurat plays an online writer who crosses path with a second-generation rich boy “sea turtle” (Zhang Yun Long), resulting in hilarious situations and face-offs.
