Sorry for the lack of updates guys. Been really busy!
Oh, it’s Monday again…. but it’s bright and sunny! 😀
Sigh, how come Monday to friday takes so long but Friday to Monday goes by in a flash? My weekend is over and all I did was sleep. Lol. What’s worst is I also lose one hour today! BAHHHHH. But anyway, I digress from the main topic at hand, which is Zhou Dong Yu and Lu Han being rumored for the upcoming film adaptation of Jiu Yue Xi’s novel The Youthful You Who Was So Beautiful. It’s described as a dark novel with bullying as the center theme, how teens react to bullying and ignore the bullied. Our stuttered female lead witnesses the bullying of a popular classmate and clams up in fear of being the next target. The bullied girl decides to commit suicide and the investigation forces our heroine to re-evaluate her stance in the vicious cycle and she builds up the courage to expose the truth. However, with courage comes the wrath of the bullies and our female lead seeks the protection from another brave youngster – our male lead. I can see Zhou Dong Yu nailing her role but pretty Lu Han as the protector is an interesting visual…. he’s just too pretty! xD The production is from the same team behind the successful movie Soul Mate which earned both Zhou Dong Yu and Sandra Ma the title of Best Actress at the 53rd Golden Horse Film Awards. Solid work credits!
Happy Friday! The last friday of 2017. OH MY GAH.
Just started my official night shift and it’s so weird on the body. I’m usually a night owl but after working the night hours, I just slumped right into bed without brushing my teeth!! (I did floss.) Lol.
Wow. Weibo is of course exploding. But Lu Han very gently on weibo posts, “Hello everyone, introducing to everyone, this is my girlfriend and tags Guan Xiao Tong.” She replies with hello and smiles and tags him right back. I’m still in a daze. I know they starred in the modern drama Sweet Combat (甜蜜暴击) together but that’s it. Lol. Their studios replied to the posting with hearts so I guess this is the real deal. Congratulations!
EDIT// 11 hours later, I cannot believe the horrific news on weibo about fans committing suicide over the news [true/false, some fans can go extreme]. I understand that young teens are vulnerable when it comes to feelings and heartbreaks but parents/friends/families, please spend time with your kids to help them understand that the person they need to love first and foremost is themselves. Don’t let another person’s business take over your life. Finding love is a beautiful thing so it’s heart-breaking for the new couple to be faced with such public outcry.
Published annually by Forbes which ranks the influence of Chinese celebrities based on income, search ranking, and exposure in fashion, news, and television, this is your 2017 list. I’m actually really surprised to see Li Ying ranked 4th on the list since she hasn’t really dipped her feet much in the fashion world yet, which is where the majority of the big and easy money comes from. She is finally invited to Paris Fashion Week this year as a Dior guest (should be heading over there on the 26th). If you notice, Li Ying has branched out further from the acting world this year, accepting various endorsement contracts and being on more magazine covers, which explains why she made a splash on the list.
And congratulations to Fan Bing Bing for topping the list once again this year and it’s her fourth consecutive time since 2013.
