My Story For You: Zheng Shuang goes through thick and thin with Luo Jin

The first official trailer is dropped and My Story For You with Zheng Shuang and Luo Jin feels very different from your usual overly dramatic Chinese modern dramas. It’s hard for me to stomach 90% of modern Cdramas or should I say the mainstream ones with popular actors and actresses. It tends to drag on for a thousand of dog-blood years before reaching an abrupt end. Lol. Maybe because it’s based on a writer’s personal love story with his wife, so he was able to work with the team to create the atmosphere he wanted. I do like what I see ~

Zheng Shuang joins Tong Da Wei in spy drama Top Secret

Aha! Looks like Zheng Shuang is leaving behind her Queen of Youth dramas title and jumping into the world of chaos and double identities as she and Tong Da Wei will be leading upcoming novel-to-drama adaptation of Top Secret. I think this will be good for her career because one can only play kiddos for so long and it’s nice to have Tong Da Wei as her acting coach. The story will take place during the time before the Pacific War and it’s a journey of how one man destroys plans of invasion from the Japanese and how he changes the course of wars in history.

The Birth of An Actor Show: Episode 1 with Zheng Shuang, Ren Jia Lun, Zhai Tian Lin, Yu Shao Qun

The Birth of An Actor is a new show on Zhejiang TV featuring a crop of actors and actresses in acting challenges against a fellow actor each week. The judges are Song Dan Dan, Zhang Zi Yi, and Liu Ye. Actor Zhang Guo Li serves as the MC. Acting is still subjective in my opinion so this show is a platform for fiery discussion among netizens, fans, and non-fans alike. The always hot-topic individual Zheng Shuang is in the first week, pitted against Ren Jia Lun and Song Dan Dan, while she wins against Allen, she loses to the veteran actress, respectively. In the short play, Zheng Shuang plays Zhang Zi Yi’s character in her big screen’s debut The Road Home, directed by Zhang Yi Mou. Other contestants in the same episode are Zhai Tian Lin, Yu Shao Qun, Huang Lu, and Liu Yun.

Luo Jin and Zheng Shuang’s My Story For You: Warm Personalities and Cozy Sets

The English title has been changed from Love The Whole World to My Story For You (为了你,我愿意热爱整个世界), the drama adaptation of the novel written by Tang Jia San Shao about his own uplifting love story with his wife, played by Luo Jin and Zheng Shuang respectively. In the bustling, modern world, their romance hopes to give the younger generation a new, positive look at true love, how to hold each other hand and walk through the obstacles of life. To pursue his wife, our author wrote her 137 letters, and to protect her, he wrote 16 long stories. His love spans over a course of 16 years, from when he was an unemployed individual to a successful writer in his own right.

The sets are lovely to look at~ And our OTP looks like the most down-to-earth couple ever. – Ghost Kap 👻

Guo Jing Ming’s Cry Me A Sad River confirms Zheng Shuang and Ma Tian Yu

WHYYYYYYY?!

Now it’s my turn to cry you a sad river.

I just really, really, really, dislike novels that put everyone through the wringer, especially the female lead. This is dog’s blood type of drama that I don’t even want to skim it. It’s so controversial that it needed to be heavily edited before it gets the green light to enter production. They held a press conference a few days ago, confirming Zheng Shuang as their female lead, and just a few hours ago, the drama weibo has officially followed its male lead – Ma Tian Yu (along with GJM and ZS). The original story features…. gang rape (!!), teen abortion, suicide, etc. O_O. It’s a painful love story about four kids in high school. They are in high school…Aigoo… Guo Jing Ming explains he wanted to write about how fast kids are maturing these days and how selfish they are with them not showing gratitude for things, coupled with a growing sense of teenage rebellion. All the emotions escalating into extreme situations, like water gathering into a ditch.

I’m supposed to packing for my trip! Not harrumph-ing over such news. XD
