HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I’m so glad it’s friday, I feel like a walking machine these past two weeks. Good thing my contract work for the summer will be over in two weeks so I can resume my normal work hours instead of these long shifts back to back to back…
Adulthood is hard. Enjoy your kiddiehood, my little friends. >.<”
Interesting. With a title like that, it’s no surprises that our female characters cannot move on with their lives! Everybody is everybody’s exes. Modern drama My Best Ex Boyfriend features Jerry Yan (Loving Never Forgetting) and Maggie Jiang (Go Goal Fighting!) as the main ex-couple, while Ron Ng (Return of Happiness) and Viola Mi (My Sunshine, The Empress of China) as the second ex-couple.
Aha! Another TVB actor crosses land to star in a Cdrama. First Bosco Wong in Destined to Love You, and now our Triumph In the Skies‘ Robin aka Ron Ng to star opposite young starlet, Li Qin. It’s hilarious to me how she likes to return stuff. First, Return of the Heiress and now Return of Happiness? LOL. To complete the Return franchise, please do a drama called Return My Money next. 🙂
Tang Yan’s fans must be happy, girl’s baking out dramas like chocolate chip cookies! She has a few dramas that needed to be aired alone! And she recently joins The Lost Tomb as its female lead, collaborating with Li Yi Feng again after The Legend of Fragrance. Her character’s badass hairstyle and leather coat can be seen above. =D
Two dramas that were filmed two (or so) years ago are now scheduled to release this December. She knows how to keep her fans happy!
Another year of TVB dramas. To be honest, I only watched and finished Triumph In the Skies 2 (skimming through the last 20 episodes, ahum), a few episodes of Brother’s Keeper and Reality Check, and 6 episodes of My Bounty Lady. So I’m not a good representative of a TVB fan. heh. But now that fans have calmed down, I’ll tune in for some fun. Hint: A round of fashion terror!
This set of episodes are uneven in emotions. Most intense scenes take place in the first three episodes and the last two flake out, adding more irrelevant characters to a cast that is already too big. I do not care about Bee, Flowers, Apple, and Pink Pink, OKAY? Can we just skip their sob stories and insert some flight emergency/action? We haven’t had any major accidents in the sequel! If last week’s theme was reunion, this week is breakups. These are mature breakups, not noble idiocy that we see so many times in Kdramas. They break up for the same reasons they got together. Isn’t that an interesting concept to mull over?
