Can see why they’re so happy. Each has 3 dramas on the list. Chusen with them together tops the list. Lol. Ratings is such a weird concept. We might find a drama so frustrating and rage-inducing, and yet we still tune in, contributing to the enormous view count. WHYYYYYYY?
Chen Shen’s mask is not perfect, as good as he is at his job. His facade cracks when he was confronted with the shooting of his sister-in-law, and it cracks even more when he finally sits down with his former love again. The love rectangle is established and in place, but in such turbulent times, loving someone can mean losing everything.
For as much as they know each other, Chen Shen and Bi Zhong Liang’s actions and motivations can be just as unpredictable. He faces complications at every turn, and the arrival of his old flame —and her husband— could be the most difficult yet.
Chen Shen may be a talented spy to survive under the nose of his superior, enemy and sworn brother, but he is ultimately still human. Even at the risk of exposure and undoing everything he has done in the past three years, he desperately tries to save his sister-in-law from a certain death. It is our first glimpse of his idealism, and it explains a lot of what we know, and don’t know, about his relationship with Bi Zhong Liang.
Happy to have another slick spy drama to grace my screen. It’s a familiar Chinese-versus-Japanese plot, but this time it stars two sworn brothers who looks like they are willing to betray each other at the drop of the hat (as cute as the bromance is). This ought to be interesting.
