First Impression: What do you think of Eternal Love of Dream (The Pillow Book) with Dilraba and Vengo Gao?

The Pillow Book also now known as Eternal Love of Dream is adapted from the second book in the Three Lives, Three Worlds series. It follows the love story between a nine-tailed fox queen of Qing Qiu – Bai Feng Jiu, and the first ruler of Heaven – Dong Hua Di Jun, that spans over three different lives. I remember the OTP was really loved during the airing of Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms but I can’t help but wonder whether they have missed the sweet spot to air this drama as it has been close to three years. You want to ride the high tides and feed the hungry fans, don’t ya? Anyway, I didn’t watch the prequel so chances of me watching this is slim. The visual of this couple is no joke though. Dilraba is ethereal and Vengo could be a chiseled AI in his next role. XD

Begins airing 1/22!

First Impression: What do you think of Ever Night 2 with Dylan Wang and Song Yi Ren?

Getting a season 2 in Cdramaland is very difficult, almost impossible, much less keeping the cast changes to a minimum. Ever Night somehow did that, not without upset fans and sides, but here we are at the premiere of Season 2. Even though I didn’t finish season 1, certain scenes still linger in my mind, which is a sure sign that I will return to finish. Looking forward to see those awesome action sequences again; in the hands of a female director (Yang Yang) no less!

First Trailer for Ever Night 2 with Dylan Wang He Di and Song Yi Ren

Speaking of part 2, I still need to finish part 1. The change in our male lead from Arthur to Dylan was quite upsetting for many fans, but I want to remain optimistic. His height next to Yi Ren is spot on. Now let’s show us that signature smug!

No confirmed air date yet but it’s rumored to be soon. 🙂

Song Yi Ren and Dylan Kuo reunite in A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality

For those who were fans of the two characters in Ever Night, you guys can rejoice! Song Yi Ren and Dylan Kuo just started filming for their new series, adapted from the novel A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality written by Wang Yu. It is mentioned that they will use CG techniques similar to what you saw in the movie L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties.

Discussion Post: Ever Night Season 1 Finale with Chen Fei Yu and Song Yi Ren

I’m not anywhere near the finale of Season 1 but it’s because I dread finishing Season 1 and won’t be seeing Chen Fei Yu anymore. I like his freshness, I like his sass, and was still holding on to the hope that they won’t change the lead actor. Silly me. In Season 2, Dylan Wang (Meteor Garden) will take over the male lead character. I haven’t seen Meteor Garden 2018 yet so no opinion from me about his acting.

How was the ending guys? Did they leave room for major plots in Season 2?

Drama Ever Night (Jiang Ye) with Chen Fei Yu and Song Yi Ren to air

Ohhhhh Ohhhh….I am strangely looking forward to Ever Night (Jiang Ye), adapted from the fantasy novel written by Mao Ni. I have never seen the two leads in any other projects, both are rising new faces, especially Song Yi Ren who looks so adorable with her petite frame. What amazes me is the veteran actors enlisted for this drama, you have Leon Lai (what?! I didn’t recognize him at all, time is not kind to him, lol), Adam Cheng, Ni Da Hong, Hu Jun, just to name a few.

Will this be the drama to get me out of my drama drought? Just one caveat I notice….all the girls he meets….they look smitten with him…that is too many girls! But I’m also happy to report that the drama weibo has been posting short clips of the cast dubbing their own voices. Another yay!
