I had to stop adding because every day, a new drama wraps up filming. 🤭
Lol @ Baron’s death stare
More dramas dropped their air dates these past few days… here’s a compilation!
Happy Friday Everyone! This is just a summary of dramas that have aired this past week or will be airing in a few days. 🙂
If you miss Yi Bo now that his Street Dance show is over, he’s back on the small screen!
Synopsis according to Qiyi: Chinese drama “Luo Yang” (2021) is adapted from Ma Boyong’s novel with the same name, which tells a series of stories that happened during the Wu Zhou period where a group of people from different classes investigated the unsettled case in Luoyang. Gao Bingzhu (played by Huang Xuan), a vice Sleuth-hound captain bottom of Luoyang, was involved in a case by mistake and became a suspect. When he tried to prove his innocence, he met Baili Hongyi (played by Wang Yibo) who found out the truth about his father being poisoned. The two cooperate and investigate. Si Yue (played by Song Qian), who is from a prestigious family, investigates and approaches Gao Bingzhu, who is excellent in martial arts and has wisdom to find information related to the case. These two people of completely different classes are not pleasing to each other’s eyes. But they had to be tied together. As they continued to dig into the case and search for the truth, they discovered a shocking conspiracy capable of destroying the God city and staining Luoshui with blood.
Brilliant Girls (爱的理想生活) is a new adaptation of Zhu De Yong’s cartoon, Astringent Girl. Zhu is a renowned Taiwanese cartoonist and the previous adaptation was made in 2003 called Pink Ladies with Liu Ruo Ying. Looks like they added one more female character for a total of five female leads all living in the same villa as they discover what they want in love and for themselves by going through many hardships in life.
Airing 3/1. We are in MARCH? 😱 😱 😱
My Heroic Husband (赘婿) is an adaptation of the novel written by Fen Nu De Xiang Jiao. There’s a time-traveling element in the novel in that the male lead is a self-made business tycoon who time travels to the past (Wu Dynasty) and is stuck in the body of a useless son-in-law of a merchant family, who also lives in with his wife’s family. With a new smart soul, he’s able to help his wife’s family’s business take a turn for the better. The funny thing is our leads, who played siblings in Joy of Life, are now a couple here. Lol.
Airing 2/14 on iQiyi!
Here’s a long compilation of teasers and trailers released at various events this past week such as the iQiYi iJoy and Tencent video conference. Sorry, I can’t physically make 20+ separate posts for each of them. I think I have written about the majority before so it’s nothing new. Just a peek from different online platforms for what’s coming up next for them.
Which ones are you looking forward to?
The weekend has started~. Here’s a wrap up of photoshoots of the week. Kappy told me to take over, but what she doesn’t realised is that I’m biased and there are a small handful of people I actually keep up to date on.
