New Cdrama Trailers at the 2026 Tencent Video V Vision Conference

And the last compiled post for me! I won’t be doing these posts in the future because it’s too time-consuming and usually by the time I put the post up, most have seen the trailers on other platforms. No point in me rehashing another version. As always, I only included dramas with trailers since the stills will be in their individual post.

For those new to this routine, each streaming platform (tencent, mango, youku, iqiyi, etc) has a few conferences each year to showcase their upcoming dramas, roping in potential advertisements and interest.

Historical drama Against the Current with Tan Song Yun and Liu Xue Yi wrapped up filming

Against the Current (兰香如故) is adapted from the novel written by He Yan Shan.

Synopsis per Wetv: Shen Jialan, once a nobleman’s granddaughter, falls from grace after her family is falsely accused of treason. Abandoned by her fiancé Lin Jinqi, she is forced to assume a servant’s identity in his household. Despite hardships, she refuses to bow to fate. With resilience and wit, she rises above class barriers, wins Lin Jinqi’s heart, earns the family’s respect, and ultimately clears her family’s name.

Liu Xue Yi and Meng Zi Yi join the political marriage wagon in The Princess‘s Gambit

The Princess‘s Gambit (桃花映江山) is adapted from the novel written by Bai Lu Cheng Shuang.

Synopsis Per WeTv: The story is set during a time when the world is divided into three kingdoms. The Wei Kingdom is powerful but embroiled in a fierce struggle for the throne; the Wu Kingdom is focused on development and strategic planning; and the Zhao Kingdom is in turmoil, with Empress Lu controlling the court, putting the country in jeopardy. Princess Jiang Taohua of Zhao, ambitious and determined, seeks to escape Empress Lu’s control by arranging a political marriage with Wei. However, upon arriving in Wei, she is attacked by wolves and later wakes up to find herself accused of an affair with Chancellor Shen Zaiye. To stay in Wei, she offers to become Shen Zaiye’s concubine, making her a thorn in his side. Despite this, Jiang Taohua, who is poisoned, must fulfill Empress Lu’s task to bring down the Crown Prince. Shen Zaiye, while known as a tough and unyielding official, secretly desires to support a wise ruler and strengthen Wei. However, he falls into a trap while investigating palace smuggling, leading to his unintended entanglement with Jiang Taohua. Although Shen sets a deadly trap to remove her, Jiang’s willingness to risk her life earns his respect. Forced to live in Shen’s household, Jiang faces challenges from Shen’s wives and concubines, as well as his combative sister. But having grown up in Zhao’s treacherous palace, Jiang easily handles the internal household conflicts. Desperate to complete her mission and get the antidote for her poison, Jiang sneaks out of the estate to seek help, even as Shen keeps a close watch on her. As they clash and outwit each other, mutual feelings start to develop. Jiang soon discovers that the Crown Prince is also Shen’s political enemy, and offers to help him take the prince down, along with the various wives and concubines planted by political forces around Shen. The two form an alliance, and as they work together, they manage to expose the prince’s crimes to the emperor, causing the fall of the Eastern Palace. However, the struggle for the throne only intensifies from there.

Liu Xue Yi joins the 3-drama club this year as well! I think his dramas have the closest range of airing within each other, A Moment but Forever in late March, then Love Never Fails followed in late April, and now this at the end of june.

Liu Xue Yi’s costume drama Love Never Fails swapped female lead to Hu Yi Xuan and secured air date

Aigoo, so many mixed feelings about this drama. 1) I thought it would never air because of Yuan Bing Yan’s tax evasion 2) Hu Yi Xuan filling in the female lead role must not have been easy and I hope she doesn’t get compared and dragged down, I like her quite a bit! 3) Yuan Bing Yan ah, a bright future ahead of you and this is where we end up? T_T 4) In any case, I hope this gains some success/popularity to balance out the efforts spent by the cast and crew on re-filming many, many scenes. 🤞🤞🤞

Per Qiyi: The drama is adapted from Shu Ke’s novel “When Spring Ends, I’ll See You Again” and tells the story of the deity Jin Xiu, who tries to help a camellia spirit, Hong Ning, ascend to immortality. However, a bond lasting a millennium forms between them, and in the end, it is Hong Ning who helps Jin Xiu attain humanity. [You can read my previous post for novel spoilers.]

Tang Yan spends A Moment But Forever with Liu Xue Yi in new Xianxia romance drama

Synopsis Per Qiyi: This series is adapted from Shi Si Lang’s novel “Unparalleled in the World”. In order to retrieve Heavenly Realm’s treasure, Goddess Wu Shuang who descends to earth to assassinate Yuan Zhong, the high priest of Youhu Clan. In the process, Wu Shuang discovers other secrets, and the two fall in love and join hands to save the world. In the war between gods and demons, the artifact “God’s Left Hand” that Heavenly God Taihe uses to seal the demon is cut off and falls to Mortal Realm. Taihe and the other gods fall into an eternal slumber and Mortal Realm hasn’t had a miracle ever since. The Warring Ghost Clan’s uprising triggers a war but is defeated by Youhu Clan’s Yuan Zhong, who gets hold of “God’s Left Hand. Ushering in a new era of prosperity, Youhu Clan becomes Mortal Realm’s gods. Entrusted by Heavenly Realm to get back “God’s Left Hand”, Goddess Wu Shuang (played by Tang Yan) enters the Youhu Clan as a personal maid of Yuan Zhong (played by Liu Xueyi). Yuan Zhong doesn’t resist with “God’s Left Hand” and his clansmen isolate and slander him. Sympathetic, Wu Shuang decides to help him remove the seal so that he can be happy. But Yuan Zhong has his own motive- to break free of the seal and destroy the world. The Warring Ghost Clan’s return causes panic within Youhu Clan. Yuan Zhong takes the chance to go down the mountain to remove the seal. But on the way, he is healed by Wu Shuang. The two of them express their feelings to each other and fall in love. But the villain takes advantage of the male lead’s feelings, causing him to break the God’s Hand, and also traps Wu Shuang. In the end, Yuan Zhong rescues Wu Shuang and the two work together to defeat Han Nü, restoring order in the world.
