Back For You (漫影寻踪) with Angelababy and Wang An Yu. Not much is known about the story but it’s another murder-mystery-waiting-to-be-solved-by-leads set in the republican period. From the picture, cutie boy Wang An Yu is playing a cop! It’s boasting a line of pretty faces as special guests as well! Cheng Xiao, Zhang Yu Jian, Sheng Ying Hao, Yu Xiao Tong, and more!
Happy Friday Everyone! This is just a summary of dramas that have aired this past week or will be airing in a few days. 🙂
DT. Appledog’s Time (the drama) is the sequel to 2019’s Go Go Squid with Yang Zi and Li Xian. Both dramas are adapted from Mo Bao Fei Bao’s novels. And from what I know there are three novels in this series; God’s Left Hand, Fish Playing While Trapped in a Secret Room, and Honey Stewed Squid. Hu Yi Tian’s character, Wu Bai, is Han (Li Xian)’s cousin and he first laid eyes on the love of his life in the drama Go Go Squid (might have been different in the novel), but it was played by a different actress. In its own drama version now called DT. Appledog’s Time (亲爱的挚爱), Li Yi Tong will be playing the heroine. Our hero is a popular player of the national robot competition (different topic from the novel).

Forever Love (百岁之好一言为定) follows Wang An Yu and Xiang Han Zhi as classmates in college and into their adulthood as they start working at the same place. It is adapted from the novel written by Su Guang Tong. The description is kinda cute, from school uniforms to wedding gowns, they have become each other’s lifelong companion.

Another cross-dressing female! Is that the trend in Cdramaland? I think we have a winner here as You Jing Ru looks quite convincing as a male. Her eyes unsettle me. Lol.
The Heiress (女世子) is a period drama and it follows our female lead who disguises herself as her dead twin brother in order to stabilize military power for her family; her dad a Prime minister. At the military camp, she befriends our male lead – fifth Prince and helps him take back his Crown Prince title.
