Modern drama Our Generation with Zhang Ling He and Zhao Jin Mai confirms broadcast in July

Our Generation (樱桃琥珀) is adapted from the novel written by Yun Zhu. Set in the 1990s, the story follows our female lead, a bright and beloved child of her parents, who grew up in warmth and care of everyone around her. Her life takes on an interesting turn when she meets a transfer student in our male lead. He’s extraordinary in studies but is cold and aloof, very quiet and keeps to himself. Obviously, unlike our bubbly female lead, our hero grows up being seen and treated as a replacement for his deceased elder brother. She’s described as a small flame, slowly warming him up, allowing him to step into their social circle; build memories, laugh, make friends, until his unexpected departure. But of course, like all youth dramas, this group of friends shall meet again.

Looking so sweet in their second drama together (After The Princess Royal)!

Airing 7/14~

Upcoming dramas release New Trailers at the Tencent Video 2025 Preview Party

Just a reminder, I only included trailers since I will be including the posters in their individual posts in the future, no need to repeat for more work. Tencent has a lot of drama I’m keeping my eyes on for sure. Lol. The videos may take a few extra seconds to load since Tencent youtube sucks by not uploading anything and therefore I had to use mostly twitter for videos.

Sweet moments in latest trailer for modern drama Our Generation with Zhang Ling He and Zhao Jin Mai

I didn’t watch The Princess Royal but this modern one looks mighty cute! Can’t wait to see emotional-wrecked boy meets sunshine girl. The tale as old as time. 😉

Their drama The Princess Royal just ended a few weeks ago and here they are confirmed for a modern one. Boy, did someone pray hard. Lol

Zhao Jin Mai and Zhang Ling He marry for political reason in costume drama The Princess Royal

The Princess Royal (度华年) is adapted from the novel written by Mo Shu Bai. Go here to see the full compilation of Novel Translation by different groups. It looks like the our couple married young in their first life and it was for political reasons so there was no love between the two. Eventually, they ended up plotting against each other leading to their ultimate demise. When they wake up, they are back to their young selves. So a second-chance kinda story. My boy Ling He is back to dramaland (he didn’t really leave…) so I might just tune in. Plus, Jin Mai is a cutie patootie!

Airing 6/26~
