Modern drama The Best Thing with Zhang Ling He and Xu Ruo Han joins February broadcast

The Best Thing (爱你) is adapted from the novel Loving You is the Best Thing I Have Done written by Sheng Li. It’s a short and sweet novel.

Per Qiyi: The story follows Shen Xifan, a dedicated workaholic and hotel housekeeping manager, who suffers from insomnia and migraines due to her high-intensity job. Seeking relief, she turns to traditional Chinese medicine and meets the gentle and refined doctor, He Suye. However, her busy schedule often causes her to forget to pick up her prescriptions, much to He Suye’s frustration. What starts as a mere doctor-patient relationship takes an unexpected turn when they realize they live in the same neighborhood. Through a series of chance encounters, their feelings gradually blossom. Having experienced a painful first love, Shen Xifan is cautious, while He Suye, abandoned by his first love, has since closed off his heart. As Shen Xifan slowly approaches him, their awkward yet endearing interactions lead He Suye to rediscover the meaning of love, eventually making him the one to pursue her instead. Meanwhile, He Suye’s dedication to traditional Chinese medicine inspires Shen Xifan to find her true aspirations.

You can read the translated novel at Midnight Scrolls. What a cute name!

It’s a short and sweet novel, depicting the romance between a workaholic hotel manager suffering from headaches and a patient and gentle doctor. You be my sunshine ☀️ too Ling He?

The novel was being translated by illanovels but looks like progress has stopped for a while. Who knows, maybe with the drama production being kick-started, more translators will be motivated to finish.

The story follows the hilarious romance between an alien girl and an overbearing boss who has trouble recalling the females around him. Season 2 continues with their adventures on Earth.

I didn’t even watch Season 1 and here they go and begin filming for Season 2. To those who watch S1, did the show warrant a sequel?
