My Heroic Husband (赘婿) is an adaptation of the novel written by Fen Nu De Xiang Jiao. There’s a time-traveling element in the novel in that the male lead is a self-made business tycoon who time travels to the past (Wu Dynasty) and is stuck in the body of a useless son-in-law of a merchant family, who also lives in with his wife’s family. With a new smart soul, he’s able to help his wife’s family’s business take a turn for the better. The funny thing is our leads, who played siblings in Joy of Life, are now a couple here. Lol.
The Killing of Three Thousands Crows (三千鸦杀) is adapted from the novel by Shi Si Lang and stars Zheng Ye Cheng and Zhao Lu Si in a romance that started ten lifetimes ago. She’s the princess of a fallen nation, The Great Yan. To save her own people from enslavement, she vows to find the magical lamp. During her search, she hides out at Xiang Qu Mountain and works there as a servant under the constant teasing of our male lead. Our hero turns out to be the lamp wick to the magical lamp. When the lamp is lit, he will disappear. At the same time, the person who lights the lamp will also be sacrificed! This is an interesting twist. So they are both dead? Lol. I can’t tell you more than that….won’t be fun for your journey. xD
Hot dang! It’s December already…2017 is coming to an end. I can’t believe it. How time just flew over our head this year. We still have another month worth of dramas to watch! This is about half of them. Lol….
Xing Er proves she’s a female warrior through and through – it’s not just her skill but also her righteous heart and loyalty to her people. Even when the world is against her, as it often is, she stands her ground and is never the one to break gaze with her enemies.
Hellloooooo! Agent 1106 Kappy reporting to recapping duty. We go from one extreme to another with our double premiere episodes on Monday, from the depths of inhumanity to the glimpses and scattered pieces of hope and kindness. Strong performances all around, all the people I love playing all sorts of shady characters that I will come to love passionately and dislike with a raging pitchfork, praying for their deaths.
