Dilireba, Gong Jun, and Liu Yu Ning begin filming for historical drama The Legend of An Le

The Legend of An Le (安乐传) is adapted from the novel written by Xing Ling. The story follows our heroine, the sole survivor of her family – the Di Clan. Her family was accused of treason and was beheaded, forcing our heroine on the path of vengeance to the very end. She changes her name and dons a mask and slithers her way into the palace, meeting the empathetic Crown Prince, our male lead. She falls for him and struggles between her oath of revenge and her familial duty to her deceased family. While he feels guilty about what happened to her family 10 years ago, he vows to protect her at all costs.

Lol. The cast for The Long Ballad is following each other to their next drama? 😛

Yang Xu Wen, Liu Yu Ning, and Zhang Ming En begin filming for drama adaptation of Zi Chuan (Purple River)

Zi Chuan (紫川) is an upcoming historical drama based on the novel written by Lao Zhu. The story follows our male lead, Zi Chuan Xiu, from one of the three big families; he’s the adopted son of the late leader from the House of Zi Chuan, the most powerful faction that fought and guarded their land from demonic invasions, with history over two hundred years. He’s accompanied by two other great young heroes from the house of Zi Chuan. It’s the story of how these youths face off the internal and external forces to protect their homeland. As of right now, I’m unsure which actor gets which character. Filming began a while back but they have moved filming location back to Hengdian.

You can read the translated novel here at moonbunnycafe (ongoing).

The Long Ballad (Chang Ge Xing) with Dilireba, Wu Lei, and Zhao Lu Si suddenly begins airing

The Long Ballad aka Chang Ge Xing aka (長歌行) is adapted from the manhua of the same name written by Xia Da. It follows our heroine, who’s a princess on the run. Her father is Crown Prince Li but after the new Emperor ascended the throne, he ordered his brothers and families put to death. She escapes, fakes her own death, disguises herself as a male and plots her revenge against the new Emperor, becoming a fierce military leader in the process. The manhua is highly rated among fans and has solid rating (9~) on douban. Readers also poured their hearts out for the arts as well.

Reviews are promising, our heroine is described as merciless and highly intelligent. Since she was young, she was trained in martial arts and battle strategies, so she holds her own in a fight. Our male protagonist is no less of a worthy character – he’s the adopted son of Jieli Khan, a leader of his own army, who is known for his ruthlessness and doing things his ways in the beginning. He slowly melts that attitude and begins to realize how his actions could affect those around him after meeting our leading lady. But he doesn’t know SHE is a SHE for a little bit.

Airing today 3/31~

Drama adaptation of Chang Ge Xing confirms Dilireba, Wu Lei, and Zhao Lu Si

Hmmm, I don’t know what to say about this casting choice. It’s a beautiful group of people for sure but Wu Lei romancing Dilireba is a little odd. Lol. Well, filming has just begun for those interested. The original male lead is Qu Chu Xiao who had to bow out due to management issue. I’m reading reviews and our heroine sounds awesome – merciless and highly intelligent. Since she was young, she was trained in martial arts and battle strategies, so she holds her own in a fight. I always have hopes in the novel description and the drama adaptation hasn’t been accurate …..at all in recent years. Lol. I really do hope she kicks A$$!! HEH.

Gosh, gosh. Baby Wu Lei needs a few years to really execute that general look. xD
