Out on time! Yay me!
Out on time! Yay me!
Synopsis From Viki because the Qiyi’s plot gave me rash reading it: Su Jiu Er (Li Yi Tong) is a young, talented, and personable female constable with a keen investigatory mind. She hails from the Qian Kingdom, meaning she is in possession of a rabbit-like spirit – and that she constantly feels cold. She is attracted to warmth, wherever she can find it. During the course of her investigations, she is forced to go undercover, where she comes across Han Zheng (Bi Wen Jun), a member of the Qi Kingdom’s ruling family.
Han Zhen is imbued with a wolf-like spirit, which grants him phenomenal strength and agility. It also makes his skin incredibly warm to the touch – a factor that makes Su Jiu Er want to cuddle up to him! But he lacks interpersonal skills, and is harsh and abrasive to everyone he meets. Opposites attract, however – and this unusual duo forms an increasingly close bond as they investigate a strange murder case that involves both of their kingdoms! Will their hot-cold connection lead them to love?
Glory of Special Forces (特战荣耀) is described by Youhug as “A coming-of-age story follows Yan Po Yue, a young man who is outstanding at everything yet remains a loner that doesn’t fit well with the team. After surviving harsh training and difficult missions, he becomes a proper soldier who fights alongside his comrades.
Yan Po Yue comes from a family of soldiers. With something to prove to his father, he applies for military school at the onset of the gaokao examinations. During the assembly for new recruits, Yan Po Yue delivers exceptional results but fails to win the favor of his superior. He is sent to become part of the cooking crew which turns out to be a place full of people with a hidden talent.
Yan Po Yue joins the selection for a special force in the army with only his own success in mind. However, he realizes that he is still lacking in many ways and through the help of his comrades, he starts to become the soldier that he has always aspired to be.”
Airing 4/5~ (post is late due to me moving)
I’m waiting for Yang Yang’s wuxia drama instead! Lol.
Faith Makes Great (理想照耀中国) is an upcoming drama celebrating 100 years of the Communist Party of China, recording the unity and leadership of the Chinese people throughout the years. It consists of 40 mini stories, each one runs for 1 episode, totaling over 100 actors and actresses and 3000+ production crew members.
Court Lady (骊歌行) is an upcoming period drama based on the unfinished novel written by Feng Nong (General and I), who then proceeded to finish the story through this drama script. Interesting. That means there won’t be novel fans cursing at the differences? Lol. The story takes place during the Tang Dynasty and follows the romance between a good-for-nothing spoiled hero and our talented heroine who pushes him out of his lazy chair. Our hero is famous for having no dreams and no ambitions, satisfied with wasting away his father’s money until a chance encounter with the heroine. She likes a man of direction and talents and that shall be his motivation to grow and mature but soon he begins to realize the instability of the Tang Empire, motivating him further. He spurs into action, becoming a military commander to protect the borders and stop illegal smuggling. In the meantime, our heroine works her way up in the palace as a weaver, facing dangers that threaten her and her family.
DT. Appledog’s Time (the drama) is the sequel to 2019’s Go Go Squid with Yang Zi and Li Xian. Both dramas are adapted from Mo Bao Fei Bao’s novels. And from what I know there are three novels in this series; God’s Left Hand, Fish Playing While Trapped in a Secret Room, and Honey Stewed Squid. Hu Yi Tian’s character, Wu Bai, is Han (Li Xian)’s cousin and he first laid eyes on the love of his life in the drama Go Go Squid (might have been different in the novel), but it was played by a different actress. In its own drama version now called DT. Appledog’s Time (亲爱的挚爱), Li Yi Tong will be playing the heroine. Our hero is a popular player of the national robot competition (different topic from the novel).
Loosely touted as the Chinese Version of Gossip Girl, Dear Missy (了不起的女孩) stars Jin Chen and Li Yi Tong as two best friends with polar opposite personalities. During their graduation, their friendship plummeted into the ground. Nine years later, they meet and reconcile again, willing to work together to face life’s lemons and challenges.
Begins airing 12/21!
