New Promotional Trailers and Posters for Upcoming Cdramas at the 2024 iQIYI iJOY Conference

I haven’t said this line in a while but I almost lost an eyeball trying to compile this post. Lol. I guess Qiyi has the majority of my interested dramas. Hope ya’ll find this helpful. I tried to include as much as possible but will eliminate non-human/concept posters for my sanity. If I missed anything, feel free to help me out in the comments! XD

Happy scrolling!

Sun Qian and Zhai Zi Lu lead cute group of youth in Wind Direction

Synopsis Per Qiyi: Seventeen-year-old Cheng Miaomiao and sixteen-year-old Cheng Yaya were born in the No. 1 Oil Extraction Plant of Linqi Oilfield, with three generations of their family working in the oilfield. Their father, Cheng Pengfei, is an ENT doctor, and their mother, Jia Daiyu, works in fleet logistics. The family moved from the northwest to the coastal base of Heping Town. In the late 1990s, Miaomiao, yearning for the outside world, planned an adventure to “welcome the return of Hong Kong” during the summer vacation of her first year of high school. She roped in her childhood friend Li Si and her best friend Hu Qiumin, but their plan failed from the start. Meanwhile, her 16-year-old brother, Cheng Yaya, went up the mountain for an archaeological expedition and was almost mistaken for a tomb raider. Their mother, Jia Daiyu, was extremely troubled, and the siblings began their chaotic high school journey. Miaomiao found herself in a friendship crisis with Li Si, while Yaya’s class saw the transfer of Yuan Shanqing, the daughter of a wanted criminal. Yaya was the first to stand up and shield Yuan Shanqing from hostility from all sides. In the midst of dealing with changes and challenges, the children welcomed growth in their lives.

A Robot in the Orange Orchard: Chinese remake of I’m Not a Robot with Liang Jing Kang and Sun Qian

A Robot in the Orange Orchard (你好呀我的橘子恋人) is the drama remake of Korean drama I’m Not A Robot with Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin released in 2017.

Youku describes the plot: Lu Kun, chairman of the ’emu’ technology company, suffers from a rare illness. When he touches a person, he suffers an allergic reaction. It happened that genius Dr. Bo Yang secretly created the intelligent companion robot “Friday”. At the last minute, Dr. Fu Yang was forced to hire his former assistant Yang Shan Shan to replace “Friday”. Because Yang Shan Shan played “Friday”, Lu Kun had an infinite sense of security. He found that as long as “Friday” is present, he can come into contact with humans and no longer be allergic. This discovery made him even more inseparable from “Friday”. Lu Kun’s warmth and innocence and love for “Friday” gradually broke Yang Shan Shan’s heart. Knowing that deception may cause Lu Kun’s illness to worsen or even die, Yang Shan Shan had to bury the truth about not being a robot.

Lu Kun’s rival, Li Jing Cheng, secretly investigated and discovered that Lu Kun was secretly working on a robotics project. Li Jing Cheng also found out about “Friday”. At the same time, the truth about the car accident more than ten years resurfaced.
