I know, I know. I should have talked about the biggest shock of last week but I was away in the mountains, away from technology. So you can pretty much imagine my face when I got home and saw the news of Li Ying’s marriage with Feng Shao Feng that took weibo by storm. I was shocked for days… and by that time I didn’t think it was necessary to write about it anymore. However, one needs closure and this is it. Honestly, I wasn’t ready to let her go…..off the market but she deserves happiness, just like everyone else.
And today, the sweet couple Luo Jin and Tang Yan also tied the knot with a wedding.
Mark Chao, Kenny Lin Gengxin and William Feng Shaofeng reprise their roles as the crime-solving trio from Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon in this sequel, directed by Tsui Hark (who is quickly becoming my favorite Chinese director). Joining them are Sandra Ma (“Oh My General”) and Ethan Ruan (“Legend of Fuyao”) in this mystery involving magicians, sorcery and an Empress eager for power. It’s a fun, summer flick with laughs and plenty of action.
新年快乐！ Since it’s Chinese New Year’s weekend and there are actually quite a few movies playing in the theatre near me, I decided to go see The Monkey King 3. I think this was the most people I’d seen in the theatre for a Chinese movie, attesting to the popularity of this story and the actors in it. It stars Feng Shaofeng (“The Starry Night, The Starry Sea”) and Zhao Liying (“Princess Agents”) and continues the story of the monk and his disciples traveling West.
How’s your New Year so far folks? I’m gonna party all weekend with family and friends. It’s a long weekend for me too since I don’t have work on Monday! YESHHH BABY!! I only managed to compile a few TV stations down below. I’ll try to update more when I’m sober? ^_^
