Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Xing Xu begin filming for modern supernatural drama Love on the Turquoise Land
Love on the Turquoise Land (枭起青壤) is adapted from the novel Xiao Qi Qing Rang written by Wei Yu. The story dates back to Qin Shi Huang’s obsession with immortality and how he sent a group of special army to find the secret in Namba. However, they disappeared without a trace. A thousand years later in the modern times, our heroine is hailed as their descendant and gets entangled in the mystery. Our male lead is described as a wealthy man controlled by a mysterious woman who also wants to find out the truth. Mysteries unfold to bigger beings and bigger secrets.
Novel is currently being translated by Nayla Flo on wattpad.

Which drama (s) are you looking forward to?
Darren Chen teams up with Zhang Yi Shang to fight evil in No Boundary (Yu Zhao Ling)
No boundary (Yu Zhao Ling, 玉昭令) is based on the novel written by Wei Yu. The story follows our heroine who descends into the human realm and sets up her own sect to fight off evil and keep peace. She’s joined by a handsome guard, our hero. Or if you prefer the Qiyi’s summary:
In the Shang Dynasty, King Zhou, the cruel ruler, was replaced by Ji Wu. During the investiture of the Gods, Jiang Ziya gave up on his divine throne. He was willing to be the marquis in the human realm to ensure that his goddaughter, Duanmu Cui (Zhang Yi Shang), could become the immortal. Thousands of years later, in the Song Dynasty, he became Bao Qingtian. At the same time, Duanmu Cui descended to the mortal world and established the Xihualiu Sect. Under Bao Qingtian’s order, fourth-grade-military officer, Zhan Zhao (Darren Chen), was ordered to help Duanmu Cui. After sticking together through thick and thin for several times, love secretly grows between them.
Airing 3/30 on iQiyi.
Fantasy drama Rattan (Si Teng) with Jing Tian and Zhang Bin Bin begins airing
Rattan aka Si Teng (司藤) is based on the novel of the same name written by Wei Yu and stars Jing Tian and Zhang Bin Bin as leads. Finally, I see Vin with a different actress! Lol! I’m reading reviews and the novel sounds morbidly comical at times. Our female lead is a demon girl (original form is some type of tree) who is killed by a group of Taoists during the republican years in Shanghai. She’s resurrected by a drop of blood from our male lead 70 years later. How so you asked? Our male lead is pretty perfect in description (rich, handsome) except he’s rather unlucky in love. He’s with his fiancée when their car swerves and he falls off a cliff and his heart is pierced by a branch. His body hangs like that for days. His drop of blood revives our female lead and he also in turn is resurrected by her demonic energy, making them both half-this/half-that, and he is dependent on her energy to live. Here comes the fun part because she slaves him around while she’s bent on revenge against the group of Taoists. But….they are mostly dead 70 years later. Lol. The romance is not heavily played out and it’s more like a journey to uncover the secrets behind their identities.
