You Are My Glory tells the romance between top star, Qiao Jing Jing (Dilireba) and aerospace engineer, Yu Tu (Yang Yang). In the ten years they have not met, Qiao Jing Jing has risen in the entertainment industry to become the female star in everyone’s heart. But the male god, who rejected her confession all those years ago, is now stuck between pursuing his dreams and being financially successful. This time, they’ve met again in King of Glory; a mobile game Qiao Jing Jing endorses. To maintain her campaign image, Qiao Jing Jing needs to improve, fast. Like Gu Man’s standard male lead, Yu Tu is a genius who is naturally an amazing gamer, so there is no one better to be her in game teacher. Are you tired of seeing Zhang Bin Bin running around in ancient land never ever getting
Dilraba the girl? Well, this is his modern drama with the lovely Zheng He Hui Zi (Rush to the Dead Summer). The first trailer has been released and it doesn’t seem just like a regular modern drama anymore. At least not when our female lead can foresee the future by touching someone else’s hand (is this a gimmick?) The downside is her power comes with terrible headaches….until she meets him, an employee at her father’s hotel. When they come into contact on the plane, his heart races and she discovers he’s the antidote to her headaches. At work, she makes things hard for him, with a mission to drive him out (for what reason, mam?!) The rest of the trailer is typical stuff. Hmmmm ~
Rush to the Dead Summer (夏至未至) is adapted from Guo Jing Ming’s novel. The youthful story spans the period of ten years and focuses on friendship, alienation, and one ultimate betrayal that breaks the group of close friends, each going their own way and entering society. Despite growing up poor and kind, our heroine (Zheng Shuang) works hard and wins a scholarship into a grand secondary school (sounds familiar?) where she meets a talented painter-to-be (Cheney Chen) and his best friend (Bai Jing Ting). Of course, love blooms in more ways than one.
So far, the promos have been summery and cheerful, but they do promise a summer of laughters and tears. *gulps*
