Priest’s Sha Po Lang drama confirms male leads Chen Zhe Yuan and Tan Jian Ci

Another boy-love novel from Priest (the money bag is getting heavy, yes? :D)! Sha Po Lang (杀破狼) is set during the Great Liang Dynasty where steam-powered machines make lives better and worse for many people. In a small countryside village, our hero (Chen Zhe Yuan) has lived since he was a child. He’s Chang Geng and he’s close to two young kids, his teacher, and his adoptive father – our other male lead (Tan Jian Ci). Their age difference is only 6/7 years. His somewhat peaceful life is turned upside down when the barbaric tribe Man invaded and his real identity is revealed – he’s the Emperor’s son with the Man’s high priestess (Don’t know what her position is called, but scandalous nonetheless!). And his beloved adoptive father with impaired hearing and vision turns out to be a respected General. After the invasion, our Fourth Prince is escorted back to the capital and this is where his story begins. Other cast members right now include Li Hong Yi (as Shen Yi) and Sun An Ke (as Chen Qing Xu).

Steampunk technologies! Interesting. Who has read the novel and can give me some spoilers? Lol.

Winter Begonia with Huang Xiao Ming, Charmaine Sheh, and Yin Zheng gears up promos

Yumama never let a trendy topic to slip by without dipping his toes! Winter Begonia (鬓边不是海棠红) is adapted from the novel written by Shui Ru Tian Er about the love story between a patriotic businessman and a talented opera performer, but in the drama version, they are close friends. Huang Xiao Ming plays the savvy businessman and Yin Zheng plays the opera performer, with Charmaine Sheh in the role of Ming’s wife. With the Japanese invasion in 1937, people from various arts and backgrounds gather together to protect the country and preserve the growing of arts.

I like how they keep releasing promos without a date. xD

Wu Xin: The Monster Killer 3 with Han Dong Jun and Chen Yao confirms broadcast in March

Wu Xin: The Monster Killer 3 returns with our favorite monster killer Han Dong Jun and the perennial undead female lead in Chen Yao. Lol. I didn’t watch Season 2. Part 3 is supposed to be the prequel to part 1, where Wu Xin meets the reincarnation of Yue Qi Luo, the main villain in part 1. But that means we won’t be seeing our favorite comedic act in Wang Yan Lin! Awww.

To begin airing on 3/3.

Oopsie, another danmei novel turned drama and became a bromance drama instead. First Impression: What do you think of Never Gone with Elvis Han Dong Jun and Yang Zi Shan?

Han Dong Jun is back onscreen in modern garbs! Plus, he’s alongside the capable Yang Zi Shan in a plot that has been done over and over again; a pair of deeply in love young adults who were torn apart by social status and financial differences, yet their hearts remain with each other for years and the heroine finally decides to pursue the man she chased away years later. I hope their acting and chemistry will elevate the drama into something memorable.

I’m really looking forward to this! Bromance, romance, political intrigues. The colors look great. Please be good, show! Its airs Tuesdays-Thursdays, 2 episodes each day. “VIP” members (ahum) get to see one week ahead, so ideally we “piggyback riders” have 12 episodes this week. Ha!
