Lost You Forever with Yang Zi, Zhang Wan Yi, Deng Wei, and Tan Jian Ci joins July broadcast

Lost You Forever (Eternally Yearning For You, 长相思) is a novel written by the well-loved Tong Hua, and is the sequel to Once Promised (drama version is called A Life Time Love with Huang Xiao Ming and Song Qian in 2017).

It is a world of gods, demons, and mythical beings and they all live alongside humans, divided into three different kingdoms. I want to preface this by saying that most of the characters have multiple identities (very confusing to me as I only wanted spoilers!). Our heroine, Xiao Yao (Yang Zi), is a small-town doctor and spends the majority of the first part (multiple volumes) of the novel as a man. She has no memories of her past in the beginning of the novel. In her life, three important men will sweep in and only one shall remain by her side. The first man that we meet in according to the novel is Tu Shan Jing (Deng Wei). He’s beaten to a pulp and in no condition to survive, left to die on the streets. But our heroine picks him up and heals him. And in return, he promises to be her servant, to listen to only her. He’s actually the 2nd young master of a powerful family. The second man we meet shortly after is part of the past that she doesn’t remember. He’s Zhuan Xu (Zhang Wan Yi), a long-lost cousin she spent time with during her childhood. His side of the story isn’t told until the third volume, which makes for an interesting WAH moment (hidden for so long?!). Lol. The third male lead is a general with white hair; he is Xiang Liu (Tan Jian Ci), a nine-headed demon and wildly considered as her soulmate.

Koala has translated the novel, read chapter one here. Please go to her index to find the rest of the chapters.

Airing 7/24 ~

Xu Kai becomes a better man to win Li Yi Tong’s love in Court Lady

Court Lady (骊歌行) is an upcoming period drama based on the unfinished novel written by Feng Nong (General and I), who then proceeded to finish the story through this drama script. Interesting. That means there won’t be novel fans cursing at the differences? Lol. The story takes place during the Tang Dynasty and follows the romance between a good-for-nothing spoiled hero and our talented heroine who pushes him out of his lazy chair. Our hero is famous for having no dreams and no ambitions, satisfied with wasting away his father’s money until a chance encounter with the heroine. She likes a man of direction and talents and that shall be his motivation to grow and mature but soon he begins to realize the instability of the Tang Empire, motivating him further. He spurs into action, becoming a military commander to protect the borders and stop illegal smuggling. In the meantime, our heroine works her way up in the palace as a weaver, facing dangers that threaten her and her family.

Airing 4/15~

Sun Yi, Jin Han, and Tan Jian Ci in a Twisted Fate of Love

Twisted Fate of Love (今夕何夕) is adapted (or some would say) loosely inspired by the novel written by Shi Jiu. Our female lead is a strong, badass female general who’s sent back in time to stop a war from happening. Through her time-travel, she meets a pair of best friends – minister male lead and Third Prince second lead. Lol. And she, of course, becomes the source of inspiration and heartache for both as their friendship is tested. The nation is crumbling so will these three rise above personal feelings to protect the people?

Our leads share the same set of small teeth. heheh.

Airing 11/23~
