Brotherhood of Blades: Shadow of Mountain and River wrapped up filming with Zhang Yun Long, Chen Ruo Xuan, and Sun Yi

Brotherhood of Blades: Shadow of Mountain and River (绣春刀山河之影) is touted as the drama adaptation of movie Brotherhood of Blades with Sun Yi, Zhang Yun Long, and Chen Ruo Xuan. The story our two male characters. Up first is Zhang Yun Long who comes from a lowly background but due to a confusion, becomes a member of the Imperial Secret Police known as the Embroidered Uniform Guards. On the outside, he appears to be selfish and well-spoken, but deep down he’s honest and treasures brotherhood. Chen Ruo Xuan is an original guard; aloof and lacks good speech (lol). The two meet and are pulled into many cases and hatred that runs deep in the court.

First Impression: What do you think of Legend of Fei with Zhao Li Ying and Wang Yi Bo?

Legend of Fei (有翡) is based on the novel You Fei/Bandits (有匪) written by Priest. It sounds like your typical wuxia drama that takes place during the Northern and Southern dynasties (?), where legends have fallen to the chaotic world, allowing room for the new rising heroes of the pugilistic world, some of which are our leading lady and man, Zhou Fei (Zhao Li Ying) and Xie Yun (Wang Yi Bo). Our female lead grew up in a neutral zone where there is no war, known collectively as the 48 tribes, so she leads a pretty peaceful life. That changes when her father is invited to join the Southern region, and she is forced to enter jianghu shortly after. Our male lead is an optimist, who knows a lot about the world because he has basically done a lot of jobs. His expertise? Running away and talking his way in/out of things (Lol). During our female lead’s journey, he is there to help her as she slowly becomes a hero in her own right.

Began airing 12/16 ~

Legend of Fei drops new stills and behind-the-scene filming

On the one hand, I desperately want to see this drama because I love Li Ying in ancient costumes and the wuxia aspect of it; but on the other hand, I don’t want it to air, afraid that it might be a while before I see her in action again. The rumored air date floating around the net is 12/18 BUT it hasn’t been confirmed yet so don’t get too excited.

The team dropped a new behind-the-scene video a few days ago and followed that with a new batch of stills today.
