War movie The Founding of An Army reveals star-studded cast
War movie, The Founding of An Army (建军大业), is the third part of the trilogy called Founding of New China, followed by The Founding of a Republic (2009), The Founding of a Party (2011), intended to be released this summer to mark the anniversary of the Chinese army (90th anniversary). The movie gathers 40+ stars in main roles and guest appearances, including both veteran actors and fresh meat, led by Zhu Ya Wen (as Zhou En Lai), Liu Ye (as Mao Zedong), Oho Ou (as Ye Ting), Ma Tian Yu, Liu Hao Ran and Ma Yi Li. The story begins in 1927 at the beginning of the Nanchang uprising, known as the first major Kuomintang–Communist engagement.

Takeshi Kaneshiro and Zhou Dong Yu in This Is Not What I Expected
I still can’t believe this pairing, despite reading and following their filming, I still thought it was a trick. Zhou Dong Yu is very lucky in her filming roles and with her leading co-stars too! This Is Not What I Expected (喜欢你) is an upcoming romantic comedy with her and Takeshi Kaneshiro. The first round of official promos is out with foodie posters of them in fruity environments. Lol. It is adapted from the novel Finally I Get You written by Lan Bai Se (Xu Lu’s Be With You, Jerry Yan’s Loving Never Forgetting) following the bickering romance of a sassy chef and a sharp-tongued manager.

Filming has wrapped after 101 days and more stills are out for upcoming youth drama 10 Years of Spring Wind Can’t Compare to You (春风十里，不如你), adapted from novel Beijing, Beijing (北京，北京) written by Feng Tang (third of his trilogy “The Growth of all Things”), 10 Years of Spring Wind Can’t Compare to You (春风十里，不如你) features Zhou Dong Yu and Zhang Yi Shan in a youthful romance as they grow into their hormonal stage of love and out into adulthood.
