How’s your New Year so far folks? I’m gonna party all weekend with family and friends. It’s a long weekend for me too since I don’t have work on Monday! YESHHH BABY!! I only managed to compile a few TV stations down below. I’ll try to update more when I’m sober? ^_^
Gotta say, despite being a former child actress, Guan Xiao Tong‘s career in her adult roles hasn’t been flourishing like many hoped. But if she has any advantage, it’s her young age, which means she has time to build the kind of image she wants for her brand.
Peace In Palace Peace In Chang’An (天下长安) is a new historical drama featuring the reunion between Qin Jun Jie and Shu Chang as the OTP; he is Emperor Taizong of Tang and she’s Empress Zhangsun, in a time period considered as the golden age in Chinese history. His reign was known as the “Reign of Zhenguan.”
The themesong has been released and I love it…. kinda feels very old-school or maybe it’s Han Lei’s magical husky voice. The production feels and looks great.
I really don’t know the appeal of spy dramas. Lol. Even with Li Ying’s Rookie Agent Rouge, I did not complete it. And yet here we are…with another spy drama in our hands, this time led by Qin Jun Jie and Xu Lu called Spy Hunter (天衣无缝). They are a fresh pairing and I like Xu Lu in bigger productions. The director and writer have been good before so let’s hope it’s not another deflated attempt.
As you might already know from past posts, Ming Xiao Xi’s twisted melo romance, Summer’s Desire (泡沫之夏) gets a rehash edition in 2017 with Qin Jun Jie (as Ou Chen) and Zhang Xue Ying (as Yin Xia Mo). Third leg of the triangle went through a switcheroo and now actor Huang Sheng Chi from My Mr. Mermaid will play Luo Xi. Looking at the first batch of character stills, I feel like everyone’s personality got watered down 3 tanks of purity. Lol.
The new drama adaptation of Ming Xiao Xi’s twisted melo romance, Summer’s Desire (泡沫之夏) officially kicks off filming today with Qin Jun Jie (as Ou Chen), Zhang Xue Ying (as Yin Xia Mo), and rookie actor Wen Yuan (as Luo Xi). I don’t know why I find it comforting it’s a new face, which strips us of our expectations (for those who are planning to watch) and possibly throws us in for a few surprises.
