Air date for Tangren’s drama remake of The Legend of Qin

Add this one to the mix of anticipated Tangren productions! Almost the same cast as Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes. Lol. This is what happens when you repetitively use people under the same management. The Legend of Qin is a drama adaptation of a Chinese animated TV series written and directed by Robin Shen (inspired by a novel by Wen Shi Ren). The story follows Tian Ming (Jiang Jin Fu), his best friend, Xiang Shao Yu (Michael Qin Jun Jie) and the heroine, Gao Yue (Hu Bing Qing), as they overcome obstacles during the political unrest leading to the building of the Qin Dynasty and how Emperor King Zheng struggled to unite all 6 nations.

I’m interested to see how the drama remake comes out, mainly because this is one of the few times I have watched the animated version and liked the story and characters. However, it’s so slow in story-telling. T__T We are only on Season 5 of the series.

Forbidden kisses in Tangren’s Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes

I took a shift for a co-worker and now I’m 8 hours behind on my recapping schedule. BAH. Anyway, last time I translated the title of this drama out to be Green Hill Fox Legend, but yesterday, Tangren released a trailer and a few new stills, one of which is a poster with the English title and I took it upon myself to tweak the words and now the title shall be called Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes. The synopsis tells six stories surrounding the batch of our immortal characters and human boyfriends – all rising faces Tangren is promoting. When I have time, I will translate a quickie premise for each story. Right now, I just want to sleep, operating on a 3-hour sleep everyday for the past 3 days is taken a toll…I nodded off so hard on the train, my neck hurt. No Eddie to be my plushie pillow. Sigh~

Green Hill Fox Legend releases first character stills

A Tangren production with their upcoming batch of youthful stars led by Jiang Jin Fu and Gulnazar. But if you’re watching Wu Xin The Monster Killer, you will recognize half of the cast members too. Green Hill Fox Legend consists of 6 supernatural stories and folktales about fox spirits and ghosts taken from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (or Strange Tales from Liao Zhai) written by Pu Song Ling, one of China’s gifted authors in spinning creative fictions with subtle humor and meaningful life lessons. I really loved the second season of TVB adaptation back in 1998 (I still have the opening and ending themesongs playing in my playlist! Old soul…here.) One of the stories was also adapted and many might recognize Barbie and Daniel Chan’s Chinese Ghost Story in 2003.

Li Yi Feng’s film, Forever Young, drops flowery posters

Been so exhausted these past few days from work. 0_0! Lots of news to catch up so be prepared for another huge round up! In the meantime, enjoy these pretty posters from Li Yi Feng‘s campus film directed by He Jiong (first mentioned here). The theme of campus love story is so broad that I have no idea what direction the narrative will favor. If it’s a puppy love story then Li Yi Feng has it down in spades! Filming completed on April 7th and the film has a premiere date on July 10th. A lot of new and young faces… and here I thought I know a lot already.
