Since I did a Review post for Age of Legends as the show was starting up, I thought I’d add a Discussion Post now that the series finished up this week. Judging from various comments and chats I’ve seen, it seems like there were quite a few of you watching it who didn’t realise anyone else was and others who were thinking of watching, but weren’t sure if you should commit the time. I really enjoyed it, but wanted to see what you thought about it.
So what did you think of the show? What did you like about it? What did you wish had been done better? Would you recommend it for others and why? Is William Chan the next big action star? How did you like his work on this series compared to his past work? Are you looking forward to his next series, Dancing in the Storm? Who else stood out for you in this series?
Airing today 9/17 with 47 episodes!
Every darn production is just gonna air now…
Adapted from the same-name novel written by Xiao Qi Xiao, Age of Legends (橙红年代) is an upcoming modern drama starring William Chan and Sandra Ma as leads. William is 30 years old, representing young men with a burning ardor, persevering to the top despite his humble background, displaying stories of love from all around. With a strong sense of justice and courage, he gathers a group of like-minded men. Due to an incident, he disappears from the world for 8 years, returning to find his dad beat up and admitted to the hospital. After delivering his brand of punishment to the deserved people, the nurses fall for his charms and upon meeting our female lead, the cop in charge of the case, they butt heads immediately. Doesn’t help that she discovers his involvement with a case from 8 years ago and is determined to uncover more dirt about him. Sandra plays a 23-year old feisty police woman, the beauty of the bureau with a temper to boot.
Who remember Vic Zhou has two unaired dramas? And they’re coming out back-to-back with beautiful younger actresses!
We made it half-way through January…. how?! Lol.
When it comes to looking cool and suave, William Chan nails it with swag. Coupled him with a badass-looking Sandra Ma, and I’m sold on the couple already! Then there’s Peter Sheng Yi Lun and Wang Zi Wen, both looking sweet in their couple stills as well.
