Tan Song Yun and Zhang Dan Feng’s make-up Face Off

Face Off (特化师) is a new modern drama about the make-up business based on the manhua by San Fu Animation starring Zhang Dan Feng and Tan Song Yun as the main OTP. I have been compiling pictures for this drama for a few months and they dropped a teaser a few days ago. The thing with me is I dislike updating a new post with like 4 pictures (and productions do this every few days), so instead I just compile them and wait for the trailer. This gives me more time to check out the novel if needs be, unless they have 10+ pictures = new post.

Deng Lun and Li Yi Tong’s messy love in Hai Tang Jing Yu Yan Zhi Tou

Hai Tang Jing Yu Yan Zhi Tou (海棠经雨胭脂透) is an upcoming republican series that is not focused on spies but make-up factory back in the days and the messy love triangle between two brothers and a beautiful girl. Li Yi Tong (Legend of the Condor Heroes 2016) and Deng Lun (Princess Agents) are the ultimate OTP but elder brother Ying Hao Ming will throw many wrenches to separate them. I have been meaning to write about this drama but the production was being so cheap with stills as weeks turned into months with nothing but fan-taken photos. The frustration was real. Lol. Now, they are starting to trickle out quality photos so yay for that.

Not fond of the crazy storyline but they look so cute….

Kevin Cheng, Tang Yi Xin in Tai Chi Master: The Door of Tai Chi

Yay! Another hand-to-hand combat drama! (I still need to finish A Fist Within Four Walls. Lol.) A great mix of actors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mainland China. Handsome HK actor, Kevin Cheng, becomes a Tai Chi master in the upcoming period series, Tai Chi Master: The Door of Tai Chi (太極宗師之太極門). He is paired up with young Chinese actress, Tina Tang Yi Xin (The Legend of Chusen), and she’s looking pretty cute in all the stills. There is a short trailer and a whopping 38-minute trailer released so far. But, do watch the BTS clip that I uploaded. All these fancy action scenes are hilarious in practice.  Hee!

First peek at Hu Bing Qing and Zhang Dan Feng’s The Legend of Dugu

A palace drama for fans of royal cat fights. Lol. Official English title has been changed to The Legend of Dugu (独孤天下) in keeping with boring title-dom. We see our romantic couple in action and they don’t look that bad together. Hu Bing Qing is only 24 and Zhang Dan Feng is a man at 35 with a wonderful family in real life. It makes sense in this time period for the girl to be extra young and Miss Hu fits the bill. Little girl better be careful, this man has his moves proven effective. Keke =P

The Mystic Nine ends with a quiet bang and a searing kiss

Time to say good bye to a train without plot (no wonder why there was no living person riding it!! LOL, sorry, I’m snarky) but a fascinating background. Sigh. So much potential, Show!

The Mystic Nine: Episode 17 — 19 “Gloom and Doom.”

 photo main.jpg

A lot of things happen in these episodes, yet nothing… really happens? So many meetings, so many conversations, yet I feel like there is zero progress story-wise. Instead we climb back into the gloomy mine. Even our OTP is just rehashing their conflict.
