Chen Xiang and Jiang Kai Tong become The Mysterious Team

The Mysterious Team ((天枢之契约行者) follows the early years of Republic of China when legends run amok about secret treasures, and our hero (Chen Xiang) is tasked by his master to locate and get near. He’s then embroiled in numerous dangers and revengey plots; one incident leading to his Master’s death in a bomb attack. Our heroine (Kiton Jiang Kai Tong) is an educated miss returning from study abroad with a mission to find her missing brother. They eventually discover the four items in the treasure box, which reveal two contracts; one is to break the seal selfishly or second is to lock the seal and let the secrets flow away with the wind. They will either be treasure hunters or contract fulfillers, each with their own obstacles to overcome and decisions to make.

Opening MVs: Three Heroes and Five Gallants, Green Hill Fox Legend

Much better promotional stills and music video for Three Heroes and Five Gallants this time around. I guess they heard the collective sigh we sent them the last round. The fantasy drama Green Hill Fox Legend (Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes) also reveals its opening theme video as well so I just grouped them together. I like both songs! 🙂

Happy Friday!! *going to work*

Forbidden kisses in Tangren’s Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes

I took a shift for a co-worker and now I’m 8 hours behind on my recapping schedule. BAH. Anyway, last time I translated the title of this drama out to be Green Hill Fox Legend, but yesterday, Tangren released a trailer and a few new stills, one of which is a poster with the English title and I took it upon myself to tweak the words and now the title shall be called Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes. The synopsis tells six stories surrounding the batch of our immortal characters and human boyfriends – all rising faces Tangren is promoting. When I have time, I will translate a quickie premise for each story. Right now, I just want to sleep, operating on a 3-hour sleep everyday for the past 3 days is taken a toll…I nodded off so hard on the train, my neck hurt. No Eddie to be my plushie pillow. Sigh~

Green Hill Fox Legend releases first character stills

A Tangren production with their upcoming batch of youthful stars led by Jiang Jin Fu and Gulnazar. But if you’re watching Wu Xin The Monster Killer, you will recognize half of the cast members too. Green Hill Fox Legend consists of 6 supernatural stories and folktales about fox spirits and ghosts taken from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (or Strange Tales from Liao Zhai) written by Pu Song Ling, one of China’s gifted authors in spinning creative fictions with subtle humor and meaningful life lessons. I really loved the second season of TVB adaptation back in 1998 (I still have the opening and ending themesongs playing in my playlist! Old soul…here.) One of the stories was also adapted and many might recognize Barbie and Daniel Chan’s Chinese Ghost Story in 2003.

Han Dong and Lee Wei with perfect tuxs in Perfume Woman

Lol, I don’t know what to think of this. A drama about fragrances and perfumes? Now, where have we seen that IDEA before? 😛 Like a modern remake of The Legend of Fragrance, if you will. I’m pretty neutral towards the cast to be honest so this is me covering news that others might find interest. Thanks to Duke of Mount Deer, Han Dong is now not my ideal figure of a romantic leading man. hehe. Our leading lady is Kiton Jiang (Tiny Times 1.0) and despite being in many dramas, I do not recognize her face or name. Second male lead is given to Lee Wei (Lovestore at the Corner, Return of the Heiress). Not much is known about the synopsis except the heroine grew up in an orphanage and is bright and optimistic with an innate talent with distinguishing smells and fragrances.
