Gina Jin, Mike Angelo, Song Yi in modern drama Little Valentine

This is the cutest drama title ever. Every Daddy’s little girl is also his Little Valentine. ♥♥♥♥ BUT once that sweet child hits the age of I-know-more-than-you-do, it’s gonna take a bigger heart to embrace her tantrums and mistakes. Actor Hu Jun (Cairo Declaration) plays a single dad to his only daughter played by Gina Jin (The Legend of Qin). The modern drama explores the relationships between various types of parental figures as Hu Jun learns the dos and donts of being a dad. Beside a hormonal daughter, he also has to deal with his own stubborn mother and a potential love interest in his life. SO MUCH FUN!

First trailer for movie Surprise with Ma Tian Yu, Mike D. Angelo

I wrote about this fantasy movie just two weeks ago and today we have both the press conference and first trailer! I honestly don’t know what genre to put this film in anymore. One second it’s all laugh and the next, it’s all tears! Add Surprise You’ll Never Think Of: Journey to The West to your list of watch-without-much-thinking this Christmas! It’s a good thing they have a batch of likable actors that I adore…

Forbidden kisses in Tangren’s Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes

I took a shift for a co-worker and now I’m 8 hours behind on my recapping schedule. BAH. Anyway, last time I translated the title of this drama out to be Green Hill Fox Legend, but yesterday, Tangren released a trailer and a few new stills, one of which is a poster with the English title and I took it upon myself to tweak the words and now the title shall be called Legend of the Nine-Tailed Foxes. The synopsis tells six stories surrounding the batch of our immortal characters and human boyfriends – all rising faces Tangren is promoting. When I have time, I will translate a quickie premise for each story. Right now, I just want to sleep, operating on a 3-hour sleep everyday for the past 3 days is taken a toll…I nodded off so hard on the train, my neck hurt. No Eddie to be my plushie pillow. Sigh~

Green Hill Fox Legend releases first character stills

A Tangren production with their upcoming batch of youthful stars led by Jiang Jin Fu and Gulnazar. But if you’re watching Wu Xin The Monster Killer, you will recognize half of the cast members too. Green Hill Fox Legend consists of 6 supernatural stories and folktales about fox spirits and ghosts taken from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio (or Strange Tales from Liao Zhai) written by Pu Song Ling, one of China’s gifted authors in spinning creative fictions with subtle humor and meaningful life lessons. I really loved the second season of TVB adaptation back in 1998 (I still have the opening and ending themesongs playing in my playlist! Old soul…here.) One of the stories was also adapted and many might recognize Barbie and Daniel Chan’s Chinese Ghost Story in 2003.
