Our wicked queen played by the lovely Jiang Qin Qin who’s more known for her stage name as Shui Ling. She was pretty then and still stunningly breath-taking now. I remember her most in Wind and Cloud and The Four Detective Guards. How time has flown by that all the leading actresses of the past are now playing motherly roles. In any case, I haven’t started on this drama yet… gahhh. I need more hours in a day to do what I want to do! As of 11/26, the drama has reached 1 Billion views! Congratulations! Let’s break more records and shove it up HNTV’s nose!!

It’s here! The most anticipated drama for the last two years…. LOL! 2 episodes per day, VIP accounts get to see more, of course… I honestly don’t have the time to recap this drama and with my comprehension skill, I think I’m gonna butcher all the names and places. Awww man, our Mr. Smile aka Shawn Dou Xiao will be doing another modern drama… but it sounds so dark and gloomy! Hear me cry. It’s adapted from manga series Asunaro Hakusho (あすなろ白書 “Asunaro White Paper”) by Fumi Saimon.

You know me, I love behind-the-scenes videos. These Chinese productions have hundreds of workers on locations every day, so it’s not strange to see how fast they can shoot a drama within 3 months (usually modern), day-in-day-out. What we see onscreen is a the final results of blood and sweats and watching these videos always shows a new level of appreciation for the crew who works tirelessly behind the cameras all-year long.

OMGAHHH!! Can I get a hallaluyah?! Oh yea, my birthday month is proving to be a festive occasion! Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy (海上牧云记) with Huang Xuan, Shawn Dou, Xu Lu, and Zhou Yi Wei is finally airing!!

I really don’t know the appeal of spy dramas. Lol. Even with Li Ying’s Rookie Agent Rouge, I did not complete it. And yet here we are…with another spy drama in our hands, this time led by Qin Jun Jie and Xu Lu called Spy Hunter (天衣无缝). They are a fresh pairing and I like Xu Lu in bigger productions. The director and writer have been good before so let’s hope it’s not another deflated attempt.
