Qin Jun Jie and Xu Lu lead heavy cast members in Spy Hunter
I really don’t know the appeal of spy dramas. Lol. Even with Li Ying’s Rookie Agent Rouge, I did not complete it. And yet here we are…with another spy drama in our hands, this time led by Qin Jun Jie and Xu Lu called Spy Hunter (天衣无缝). They are a fresh pairing and I like Xu Lu in bigger productions. The director and writer have been good before so let’s hope it’s not another deflated attempt.

Jiang Xin’s Blind Date with Lu Yi to air in August
A romantic comedy in the house, anchored by two great actors, can we get a YAHOO?! Adapted from the Argentina drama, Blind Dates (Ciega a Citas), which was also based on a blognovella written by Carolina Aguirre, the Chinese Adaptation stars Jiang Xin and Lu Yi as our OTP. After hearing a conversation between her beautiful, younger sister and their mom, our heroine promises to make her mom lose her coins in the bet. Being the less favored daughter, mother thinks our heroine can never arrive at her sister’s wedding with a real boyfriend, and with the wedding being 200-something days away, our heroine puts herself out there on numerous blind dates to find Mr. Right. If she does, mom is willing to open her coin bag and pay for her sister’s wedding!

Just To See You (只为那一刻与你相见) is an upcoming modern drama based on the novel written by Xian Chen, depicting a quiet but circular romance among all the players. That’s never a good thing is it? This is Li Yi Tong‘s harem romance, all the guys. Both of our leads were born into rich but grew up in broken households. She’s stubborn and considered by many as weird and he’s a man who couldn’t protect his love five years ago. In the presence, she begins dating Lu Yi‘s character to ingratiate herself with her father. Two broken hearts, could they heal each other with time?
Kiss Love and Taste with Lu Yi, Aaron Yan, and Amber Kuo
Kiss Love and Taste (亲·爱的味道), a modern drama about food! Lu Yi plays a famous chef who lost his ability to taste after an accident and Amber Kuo enters his life with the intention of learning about his family traditional recipe. Third wheeler in Aaron Yan comes along hoping to help our MALE lead gain back his sense of taste with his knowledge in psychology. Did I read that wrong? LOL. But aww, bromance! The best line is this, while our chef is a cold person, he can’t help but cracks a smile naturally at the supposed psychologist’s youthful energy. HAHAHA. This is a rare happening. Lu Yi’s modern drama, In The Name of People, about corruption is unstoppable in its destruction of the ratings game, leaving everyone else in the dust. It generated a whopping 4.793 in yesterday competition, a phenomenon I haven’t seen in a long time (or have I seen it at all?!) At this rate, it will break 5 today? Tomorrow? Is anyone watching?
