Jiang Xin’s Blind Date with Lu Yi to air in August

A romantic comedy in the house, anchored by two great actors, can we get a YAHOO?! Adapted from the Argentina drama, Blind Dates (Ciega a Citas), which was also based on a blognovella written by Carolina Aguirre, the Chinese Adaptation stars Jiang Xin and Lu Yi as our OTP. After hearing a conversation between her beautiful, younger sister and their mom, our heroine promises to make her mom lose her coins in the bet. Being the less favored daughter, mother thinks our heroine can never arrive at her sister’s wedding with a real boyfriend, and with the wedding being 200-something days away, our heroine puts herself out there on numerous blind dates to find Mr. Right. If she does, mom is willing to open her coin bag and pay for her sister’s wedding!

Why do dramas believe an oversized pair of glasses will make an attractive person look unattractive? Like most of the time I just find them more sexy…oversized glasses and a pout are like a pair of smooth firm pecs for me!

If someone is attractive just let them be attractive, there is a lot of story to mine there too.

Lu Yi will always be super cute even with a full size cake on his face.

It seems there are more romantic comedy dramas in recent years. Is it just me being obtuse?

I don’t know Tyn123, lol, I feel like they are still holding onto the outdated notion of glasses = four eyes = unattractive. Which is so far from the truth these days. People with glasses are both adorable and hot. B)

Chinese romcoms are hard to finish for me. LOL. It will start out well and then plummet due to the need of extending to 40+ episodes.

Got to say Li Ya Nan’s looking pretty hot in his second picture with that facial hair (btw is he Reba’s boyfriend in Diamond Lover at the end?). Pretty excited for this! Glad Jiang Xin’s been getting more lead roles lately. Wanted to try Heirs but really don’t like watching Liu Kai Wei.

I happened to see the trailer the other night. Been a while since I’ve seen a drama set in modern day that I actually wanted to watch, but I’m actually interested in this one. Looks like it could be funny.

I’m quite excited for this, but damn 52eps for modern rom-com is quite a lot.

What do you think?
