Xu Lu and Yang Le’s Prince Coffee Lab finally gets green light to air!

It’s always nice to see a shelved drama get off the…shelf! In this case, it’s the rom-com remake of Korean series Coffee Prince with Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo. The Chinese remake stars the adorable Xu Lu and Yang Le. Story of the original; a cool rich guy who doesn’t care much for responsibilities and lives life freely, until his grandmother gives him an ultimatum by forcing him to take over a small run-down coffee shop to show her that he’s an adult. He does and hires good-looking young men to charge the place and lure in customers. Our female lead, a tomboy and the sole breadwinner of her family, accepts the job offer and keeps her gender a secret. Thinking that she’s really a male, our hero hires her to play his gay lover to ward off the numerous blind dates his grandma sets him up with. Bickering soon develops into something more and our hero begins to question his sexuality.

Prince Coffee Lab starts airing today 8/29!

Prince Coffee Lab boasts chemistry among handsome baristas

I need to find this coffee shop immediately because there’s a barista guy that caught my eye! And, this girl love a beautiful cup of coffee! XD The Chinese Remake of popular Korean series, Coffee Prince, is called Prince Coffee Lab (王子咖啡店) because well… they really do need the help of flasks and magical love potion to come near the explosive sparks between the original pair of Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo. I don’t see much yet in the short trailer but hopefully they can come through.

Yoon Eun Hye cameos in Chinese Remake of Coffee Prince

Awww, it’s always nice to see original star cameo-ing in a role that brought out a different side to their acting. If you didn’t see the news back in April, Coffee Prince Lab is the remake of popular Korean series (Coffee Prince) starring Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo. Miss Yoon recently flew to China to shoot a few scenes with the Chinese team. She confesses that the experience was both intimate and foreign. She sees her younger self when she observes Xu Lu and finds her adorable, hard-working, and friendly. And of course, brownie points to Xu Lu for going under the scissors!

How is it that everyone looks cute with the short bob recently?!

Chinese Remake of Coffee Prince with Xu Lu, Yang Le begins

Mentioned this a few months back and now production will be in full gear as the whole cast has been assembled and introduced during the press conference yesterday. I wonder who gave the Chinese remake its English name because if you can’t make it better, keep it simple! Coffee Prince Lab (王子咖啡店)? WHAT? Anyway, I’m both excited and worried for them because Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo set the bar…somewhere…outside the roof in terms of chemistry and Eun Hye nailed her role adorkably.
