Lighter and Princess with Chen Fei Yu and Zhang Jing Yi to premiere in November

Lighter & Princess (点燃我温暖你) is adapted from the novel written by Twentine. It is a story about the passions of youth and the cruelty of time and people’s hearts. On the outside, our female lead, Zhu Yun is your typical poster child of a well-behaved, obedient student. She grew up under the strict supervision of her parents and strives to do well in school as to not disappoint them. But deep down, Zhu Yun is secretly rebellious and has quite the sarcastic tongue. She would have followed her parents’ set path for her had she not met the outwardly rebellious male lead, Li Xun, who attracts her attention on their first day of school with his bright golden hair and devil-may-care attitude. He’s loud about his lawless ways and even if Zhu Yun curses him under her breath, she can’t help but slowly falls for his hidden intelligence and talents. He has her wrapped around his fingers for sure. 😛 She believes in him and stays by his side through all their ups and downs, even during and after the separation arc (6 years).

Aww our boy is growing up so fast! Ever Night was one of the two dramas I finished 2 years ago. Lol.

You can read the unfinished translated novel here.

Airing 11/3!

Mysterious Lotus Casebook with Cheng Yi, Zeng Shun Xi, and Xiao Shun Yao has wrapped up filming

Mysterious Lotus Casebook (莲花楼) is adapted from the novel written by Teng Ping. It follows the story of a popular doctor in the pugilistic world, Li Lian Hua (Cheng Yi), who in reality has no medical skills. Lol. What initially happened was he stumbled upon two people buried alive (still alive) and news spread that he was able to raise them from the dead. So who is Li Lian Hua really? Ten years ago, he was Li Xiang Yi, the famous Sect Leader of a righteous sect, who disappeared and assumed dead after a fierce battle with his arch enemy from the evil sects, Di Fei Sheng (Xiao Shun Yao). Xiang Yi was poisoned by his own people and fell into the ocean, disappearing on the face of earth. Now he travels around jianghu with a new name/persona, being pulled in by every murder possible and trying to solve them. Zeng Shun Xi plays a young aspiring hero, Lian Hua’s best friend, who is also the biggest fanboy of Li Xiang Yi but he of course doesn’t know Lian Hua is Xiang Yi. Di Fei Sheng eventually comes out of his hiatus as well and is the first person to recognize that the stingy and money-loving fake doc is actually the high and almighty Li Xiang Yi!

The three boys forge a friendship unlike any other. This sounds wicked adorable!

New Posters for Lost You Forever with Yang Zi, Deng Wei, and Tan Jian Ci as it wrapped up filming

Hello guys! Long time no see! Hopefully, after all the excitement ends in October, I’ll be able to get back to blogging more. Thanks for your understanding! <3

Lost You Forever (Eternally Yearning For You, 长相思) is a novel written by the well-loved Tong Hua, and is the sequel to Once Promised (drama version is called A Life Time Love with Huang Xiao Ming and Song Qian in 2017).

It is a world of gods, demons, and mythical beings and they all live alongside humans, divided into three different kingdoms. I want to preface this by saying that most of the characters have multiple identities (very confusing to me as I only wanted spoilers!). Our heroine, Xiao Yao (Yang Zi), is a small-town doctor and spends the majority of the first part (multiple volumes) of the novel as a man. She has no memories of her past in the beginning of the novel. In her life, three important men will sweep in and only one shall remain by her side. The first man that we meet in according to the novel is Tu Shan Jing (Deng Wei). He’s beaten to a pulp and in no condition to survive, left to die on the streets. But our heroine picks him up and heals him. And in return, he promises to be her servant, to listen to only her. He’s actually the 2nd young master of a powerful family. The second man we meet shortly after is part of the past that she doesn’t remember. He’s Zhuan Xu (Zhang Wan Yi), a long-lost cousin she spent time with during her childhood. His side of the story isn’t told until the third volume, which makes for an interesting WAH moment (hidden for so long?!). Lol. The third male lead is a general with white hair; he is Xiang Liu (Tan Jian Ci), a nine-headed demon and wildly considered as her soulmate.

Koala has translated the novel, read chapter one here. Please go to her index to find the rest of the chapters.

Yang Zi and Cheng Yi’s Immortal Samsara suddenly drops like a hot potato today!

Imagine my surprise when I came home from work to a community of rejoicing fans, all excited to see Cheng Yi suffering beautifully again when his drama, Immortal Samsara, with Yang Zi suddenly announces it’s airing tonight! Lolol.

The novel is currently being translated by a sweet and stressed-out high school teenager (Lol, so cute), Rosie @ her blog. Fighting!

I have written spoilers for the novel before in my previous posts, but knowing how novel-to-drama adaptations go, not sure how much of the original story is still left. *shrugs* Happy watching!

First Trailer for Love When the Stars Fall with Chen Xing Xu and Li Lan Di

After Ashes of Love, Skate Into Love, producer Liu Ning is calling Love When The Stars Fall (星落凝成糖) his third part of the Honey Trilogy, just because the titles of the three separate novels contain sugar and or honey in it. So yes, it’s three separate novels, all with different stories. Love When The Stars Fall (星落凝成糖) is written by Yi Du Jun Hua and follows dual female leads! They are princesses from the royal family Li. Older sister (He Xuan Lin) is deemed as a lucky charm for the family. She’s kind-hearted, beautiful, and is considered hope to the whole country. She’s betrothed to the heavenly first prince (Chen Xing Xu). As a favor in return, they are protected by the heavens. Younger sister (Li Lan Di) was born unlucky, deemed as a shame to the family, making her cold-hearted and cruel. She’s betrothed to the demon prince (Chen Mu Chi). However, a twist of fate sends the sisters to the wrong families on their wedding day. Even though they advertise it as dual female leads, from reviews, the cunning younger sister and her romance with the Godly Prince is the central piece.
