Li Hong Yi strikes while the iron is hot with another wuxia drama Wulin Heroes with Huang Ri Ying

Wulin Heroes (武林有侠气) is adapted from the novel written by Bai Ze.

YouKu describes the story: Ye Xi, a kindhearted woman determined to become a martial arts hero, had fantasies about the martial arts world and true love when she first entered this world. She kept fighting for the weak against the strong, yet she didn’t know that human beings could be evil and was repeatedly exploited, cheated and betrayed. She was even betrayed by the “kind martial arts master” who she had thought she could rely on. Her reputation was ruined and someone attempted to murder her for a few times. However, despite those heavy setbacks, Ye Xi remained true to her original aspiration and believed that good would always prevail over evil. She tried her best to reveal the truth and clear her name. During this time, Bai Yue, a miracle-working doctor saved her many times and was always by her side. Ye Xi also grew up, became stronger and more confident and learned what real love and martial arts spirit truly are. With Bai Yue’s help, Ye Xi wiped out the evil people who framed her and became a true hero.

The Legendary Life Of Queen Lau with La Mu Yang Zi and Li Hong Yi

The Legendary Life of Queen Lau (皇后刘黑胖) is adapted from the novel written by Ge Yang. It’s a comedy historical drama and follows the story of our heroine, a Prime Minister’s illegitimate daughter, who is abandoned by him. But the day the Empress Dowager wants to link the two families through marriage, villainy dad is too eager to find his not-so-pretty daughter back. Due to her dark skin and chubby figure, our heroine isn’t favorably looked upon. The funny thing here is this: the Empress Dowager actually wants the Crown Prince to marry Prime Minister’s distant relative – his niece, who’s pretty and well-educated. So our plucky heroine marries into the palace and becomes the Crown Princess at age 9/10 in the novel. The two kids of course start off on the wrong foot but the years they spend together cement their friendship, which sets up the foundation for many laughs and eventual romance.

Miss Zhou Yu Tong is on the roll lately! Third drama this year so far. In The Coolest World (最酷的世界), she plays an aspiring writer who dreams of winning the Pulitzer Prize one day but unfortunately her company is engulfed by a bigger corporation and she has to start at square one again. Along the way, she finds herself surrounded by a group of passionate individuals, rewriting the world of publishing, social media, magazine, and etc.

Sha Po Lang (Winner is King) with Chen Zhe Yuan and Tan Jian Ci releases First Stills

Adapted from the novel written by Priest, Sha Po Lang (杀破狼) is set during the Great Liang Dynasty where steam-powered machines make lives better and worse for many people. In a small countryside village, our hero (Chen Zhe Yuan) has lived since he was a child. He’s Chang Geng and he’s close to two young kids, his teacher, and his adoptive father – our other male lead (Tan Jian Ci). Their age difference is only 6/7 years. His somewhat peaceful life is turned upside down when the barbaric tribe Man invaded and his real identity is revealed – he’s the Emperor’s son (4th Prince) with the Man’s high priestess. And his beloved adoptive father with impaired hearing and vision turns out to be a respected General. After the invasion, our Fourth Prince is escorted back to the capital and this is where his story begins. Other cast members right now include Li Hong Yi (as Shen Yi) and Sun An Ke (as Chen Qing Xu).

Expect changes to the drama, as always. Filming began in July and has ended.

Priest’s Sha Po Lang drama confirms male leads Chen Zhe Yuan and Tan Jian Ci

Another boy-love novel from Priest (the money bag is getting heavy, yes? :D)! Sha Po Lang (杀破狼) is set during the Great Liang Dynasty where steam-powered machines make lives better and worse for many people. In a small countryside village, our hero (Chen Zhe Yuan) has lived since he was a child.
