Hou Ming Hao and Lu Yu Xiao wrapped up filming for costume drama Love in the Clouds

Love in the Clouds (入青云) is adapted from the novel written by Bai Lu Cheng Shuang. Filming has wrapped up! The story is described as the push and pull love game between the leads with deceits, betrayals, and a lot of groveling on the ML part. She is a poisoned goddess and he’s a poison expert. In order to seek the antidote from him, she transforms herself into an alluring dancer. Looks like most of the complaints about the novel is in the latter half where the FL becomes unlikable by trying to get “even” with the ML. Spoilers anyone? 😛

First Character Posters for Love Like The Galaxy with Wu Lei and Zhao Lu Si

Love Like The Galaxy (星汉灿烂) is adapted from the novel written by Guan Xin Ze Luan (the same author for The Story of Ming Lan). There’s a time-traveling element in the novel which I’m sure will be changed. Our heroine in the modern world grew up in a divorced family; she lives with her grandma, making her quite wild and unruly, she does what she wants. On chance, she time-travels to the past and becomes the youngest daughter of a General’s family. Due to war, her parents are constantly in battle, bringing along her three older brothers for years, leaving her behind with her grandma. When they finally return, years of estrangement creeps in but her father and brothers dote on her. Except for her mother, who is extremely strict with her and our girl fans the fire by fighting right back. Despite mom being a tough lady, going to war, etc, she expects the opposite of her daughter – to be gentle, to be well-read (actually, she just can’t read ancient Chinese because she’s from the modern world), to be graceful. Since she’s of marriage age when they return, they become concerned that their daughter’s personality doesn’t fit in with the rich, high-ranking sons of officials, so they think it’s safer to settle for a low-ranking family. However, their troublesome daughter repeatedly meets with several high-ranking men, getting engaged and breaking the engagement several times.

The girls share almost the same hairstyle…. Hmmm.

Sha Po Lang (Winner is King) with Chen Zhe Yuan and Tan Jian Ci releases First Stills

Adapted from the novel written by Priest, Sha Po Lang (杀破狼) is set during the Great Liang Dynasty where steam-powered machines make lives better and worse for many people. In a small countryside village, our hero (Chen Zhe Yuan) has lived since he was a child. He’s Chang Geng and he’s close to two young kids, his teacher, and his adoptive father – our other male lead (Tan Jian Ci). Their age difference is only 6/7 years. His somewhat peaceful life is turned upside down when the barbaric tribe Man invaded and his real identity is revealed – he’s the Emperor’s son (4th Prince) with the Man’s high priestess. And his beloved adoptive father with impaired hearing and vision turns out to be a respected General. After the invasion, our Fourth Prince is escorted back to the capital and this is where his story begins. Other cast members right now include Li Hong Yi (as Shen Yi) and Sun An Ke (as Chen Qing Xu).

Expect changes to the drama, as always. Filming began in July and has ended.

You can read the novel here.
