Li Hong Yi strikes while the iron is hot with another wuxia drama Wulin Heroes with Huang Ri Ying

Wulin Heroes (武林有侠气) is adapted from the novel written by Bai Ze.

YouKu describes the story: Ye Xi, a kindhearted woman determined to become a martial arts hero, had fantasies about the martial arts world and true love when she first entered this world. She kept fighting for the weak against the strong, yet she didn’t know that human beings could be evil and was repeatedly exploited, cheated and betrayed. She was even betrayed by the “kind martial arts master” who she had thought she could rely on. Her reputation was ruined and someone attempted to murder her for a few times. However, despite those heavy setbacks, Ye Xi remained true to her original aspiration and believed that good would always prevail over evil. She tried her best to reveal the truth and clear her name. During this time, Bai Yue, a miracle-working doctor saved her many times and was always by her side. Ye Xi also grew up, became stronger and more confident and learned what real love and martial arts spirit truly are. With Bai Yue’s help, Ye Xi wiped out the evil people who framed her and became a true hero.

The Legendary Life Of Queen Lau with La Mu Yang Zi and Li Hong Yi

The Legendary Life of Queen Lau (皇后刘黑胖) is adapted from the novel written by Ge Yang. It’s a comedy historical drama and follows the story of our heroine, a Prime Minister’s illegitimate daughter, who is abandoned by him. But the day the Empress Dowager wants to link the two families through marriage, villainy dad is too eager to find his not-so-pretty daughter back. Due to her dark skin and chubby figure, our heroine isn’t favorably looked upon. The funny thing here is this: the Empress Dowager actually wants the Crown Prince to marry Prime Minister’s distant relative – his niece, who’s pretty and well-educated. So our plucky heroine marries into the palace and becomes the Crown Princess at age 9/10 in the novel. The two kids of course start off on the wrong foot but the years they spend together cement their friendship, which sets up the foundation for many laughs and eventual romance.

To air 6/24~

First Trailer for Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling with Zhao Lu Si and Liu Te

Not sure how I missed this drama in my youku post but here it is!

Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling (一不小心捡到爱) is a modern rom-com adapted from the novel written by Chun Feng Yi Du, who you might recognize as the author for novel-to-drama What If You’re My Boss (奈何boss又如何) which recently aired. The story follows our delivery girl – female lead who accidentally knocks over an heir to a large corporation, who at the time was in distress over battling for inheritance rights. He claims to be hurt and requests to be her responsibility. She doesn’t know of his status and thinks he’s not “okay” in the head, so she agrees to house him until he feels better. Thus begins the trope of co-habitation.

After a string of period dramas, Zhao Lu Si is seen back again for a modern drama with actor Liu Te, who was recently in My Dear Lady with Jiang Meng Jie. How is his acting? Why does this sound strange? Lol. Maybe the novel provides more details (and common sense?) but I’m not intrigued enough to check it out. XD
