Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy Discussion Post Week 2: Episodes 13 – 24

Our wicked queen played by the lovely Jiang Qin Qin who’s more known for her stage name as Shui Ling. She was pretty then and still stunningly breath-taking now. I remember her most in Wind and Cloud and The Four Detective Guards. How time has flown by that all the leading actresses of the past are now playing motherly roles. In any case, I haven’t started on this drama yet… gahhh. I need more hours in a day to do what I want to do! As of 11/26, the drama has reached 1 Billion views! Congratulations! Let’s break more records and shove it up HNTV’s nose!!

Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy Discussion Post Week 1: Episodes 1 – 12

It’s here! The most anticipated drama for the last two years…. LOL! 2 episodes per day, VIP accounts get to see more, of course… I honestly don’t have the time to recap this drama and with my comprehension skill, I think I’m gonna butcher all the names and places. Open arms for volunteers, let me know! 🙂

Spazz away! The cast alone is…star-studded…

Shawn Dou confirms Asunaro Hakusho adaptation ‘Ten Years Late’ with Gulnazar, attends Tribes and Empire press conference

Awww man, our Mr. Smile aka Shawn Dou Xiao will be doing another modern drama… but it sounds so dark and gloomy! Hear me cry. It’s adapted from manga series Asunaro Hakusho (あすなろ白書 “Asunaro White Paper”) by Fumi Saimon.

Cdramas Begin Filming: Huang Xiao Ming’s The Years You Were Late, Shu Chang’s Meet Miss Anxiety, William Chan’s Age of Legends

Eeee! William Chan is keeping his facial hair intact, at least beautifully maintained, for his new role in Age of Legends. He looks mighty hot. Lol. I know, so so shallow.

Interviews with the Crew of Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy

Time to check back in with the epic historical fantasy drama Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy (九州海上牧云记). In the past few months, they have been releasing stills and some BTS videos with interviews with the cast and crew. Again, a lot of work and thought and effort were spent so hopefully this summer will be the green light for Prophecy.

Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy reveals sweat and blood behind the scene

How is it possible that everything about this drama intrigues me? Even the behind-the-scene video is slick and sounds epic to the ears than your typical promotional materials for other dramas! At this point, even if the script fails, I can purely watch for the visual festivity before my eyes. But honestly, after seeing the amount of work they poured in for the set, materials, and costumes, I have a new found respect for the production team, going above and beyond to map out their imaginations into concrete settings. I love you Tribes, don’t fail me.

Abandoned royalties raise wars in 6-minute trailer for Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy

While I had some good laughs in the last post, clarifying that Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy is indeed a drama, and not a movie, it’s rather sad to see how small our expectations have become over the years in Cdramaland. Keep in mind that this drama started filming around August of last year and hence has plenty of time to edit and film, but the trailer crew did do a damn good job in knocking our breath away with the first teaser. Mr. Cao Dun, I shall remember your name! They just dropped the official trailer a few hours ago. Have a look and again I’m thoroughly thrilled even at the resonant voices in the trailer.

Hook, line, and sinker!
