New Adaptation of Chinese Paladin 1: Sword and Fairy with He Yu and Yang Yu Tong to join April Broadcast

Following the footsteps of Chinese Paladin franchise, we have another adaptation for 2024, this one is also called Sword and Fairy (又见逍遥). Seriously? Seriously? You can’t give it a new name to stop the confusion with the one starring Xu Kai and Esther Yu aired last year? 🤦 It’s adapted from the first game and if you remember Hu Ge and Liu Yi Fei made a splash afterwards. He Yu is currently entertaining me in The Legend of Shen Li so I guess they want to keep momentum going for him, hence this is coming out now. Looks like he also has some Immortal friends coming with him to here too. Lol

Series Review: Sword and Fairy 4 (Cdrama, 2024)

Gong Jun’s popularity helps his old 2017 drama Fantasy Westward Journey with Chen Yao off the shelf!

My last post on this drama was indeed in 2017. Lol.

Fantasy Westward Journey (指尖少年) is based on the game inspired by the Chinese novel Journey to the West starring Chen Yao and Gong Jun as the main leads. It follows a group of game experts as they encounter a bug and get embroiled in a crisis overlapping the virtual and reality world.

Gong Jun and Chen Yao enter virtual game in Fantasy Westward Journey

Fantasy Westward Journey (梦幻西游) is based on the game inspired by the Chinese novel Journey to the West starring Chen Yao (Wu Xin The Monster Killer) and Gong Jun (Lost Love In Times) as the main leads. It follows a group of game experts as they encounter a bug and get embroiled in a crisis overlapping the virtual and reality world. What a vague plot so I don’t have much to say except it’s nice to see Chen Yao all gangsta with the eye-liner!
