What a busy summer drama watchers will have! Love Lost In Times (醉玲珑) is based on the novel written by Shi Shi Ye, it was filmed fast and then get released fast too. Once again, Miss Liu Shi Shi surrounds herself with a harem of princes. Will she finally get a happy ending in here?
Opening themesongs are revealed for two dramas that will be contending in the ratings game with General and I nearing its last leg of episodes. Smart move to air earlier. Yang Mi‘s Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Jing Tian‘s Glory of the Tang Dynasty. On the one hand, I still do not feel much for the OTP of 3L3W but their secondary and tertiary couples are looking cute and their songs are pretty on the dot to steal my little heart. On the other hand, while Tang Dynasty is on the down low with promos, I’m more inclined to check it out, thanks largely to the intense trailer, Jing Tian’s charms, and the wagon of cast members from Legend of Chusen. I need to see them in something worthwhile of their talents. Yes, that’s a shade at you, Chusen!
Ah! Time for the bird to leave its nest! Liu Shi Shi announces today at the welcoming event for her latest drama, Lost Love in Times (醉玲珑), that her contract with Tangren ends at the end of December and she will exit the company. She wants to make sure everyone knows that there’s a difference between terminating and not renewing contract. She thinks she’s not young anymore and would like to go out and try new things, even hubby Nicky Wu encourages her. As to where she’s moving to, everyone assumes it’s Nicky’s company, but she has yet to officially confirm. Tangren is amicable in their response, “Tangren will always be her home, always as her backer.”
Xiao Nai really doesn’t fool around when it comes to work and dating. He is actually really sly here, courting Wei Wei in-game and then delivering the final kill in real life. Da Shen is Da Shen indeed.
Here to deliver more crack-related goods! Amazing how this drama is drawing out many lurkers. Lol. I’m not sure whether to be happy or not! You guys will batch leave when it’s over? *pouts*
This first episode is a delight to watch and to recap. I think the show nailed the execution and improved the plot. The characters feel alive instead of caricatures of themselves, which the show owed it to the original writer Gu Man also being the scriptwriter. If you like the book, I think you will enjoy this adaptation.
