Opening themesongs are revealed for two dramas that will be contending in the ratings game with General and I nearing its last leg of episodes. Smart move to air earlier. Yang Mi‘s Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Jing Tian‘s Glory of the Tang Dynasty. On the one hand, I still do not feel much for the OTP of 3L3W but their secondary and tertiary couples are looking cute and their songs are pretty on the dot to steal my little heart. On the other hand, while Tang Dynasty is on the down low with promos, I’m more inclined to check it out, thanks largely to the intense trailer, Jing Tian’s charms, and the wagon of cast members from Legend of Chusen. I need to see them in something worthwhile of their talents. Yes, that’s a shade at you, Chusen!

Three Lives premieres on January 30th with 58 episodes.
Tang Dynasty premieres on January 29th with 60 episodes.
At the press conference for 3L3W, Yang Mi did say she wanted to spend more time with her family and every day she would phone home. Furthermore, she said they have their own method of living and doesn’t feel the need to explain it to the world.
I really hope it works out for this couple because I still believe in Hawick Lau, despite all the scandals. And Yang Mi seems like she’s got a good head on her shoulder. Let’s hope they can lessen their workload and give the child more attention.

Probably the only one who likes only Little Dumpling and Ken Chang’s character out of the whole characters in 3L3W. Their ost is pretty nice.
Looking forward to glory of tang dynasty… for the secondary characters xD

Can’t feel the chemistry between Yang Mi and Mark Zhao too! Hopefully the drama will be better since somehow i’m not as excited as I thought I will be for the drama, and the lack of chemistry between the the main otp and side otp isn’t helping much!
Vengo Gao really doesn’t fit the image of DongHua Dijun! Total miscast sigh… But Dilraba’s FengJiu makes up for it, she’s totally adorable!
I would give Tang Dynasty a try, just because the visual is awesome hahaha! And I love period dramas!
Honestly, I don’t really believe that Hawick cheated on her since there really isn’t any concrete evidence and there were evidences of them having their scripts and how their assistants kept going in and out. And I do believe Wang Ou’s character from what I see in interviews and reality shows. On top of that, Yang Mi’s character shows it all! She doesn’t seem like that type to just endure her husband cheating on her! But Hawick’s way of handling the issue really needs improving, didn’t handle it like a man at all, all I see is Yang Mi responding to the whole scandal which was because of his mistake to discuss his script in a single woman’s room at night.
And they do really need to take time off and interact as a family…

Aside from poor adaptation of the story, lack of chemistry is probably the biggest concern I have about 3w3l. That is weird because both Yang Mi and Mark Zhao are usually ok in terms of chemistry with their co-stars. And yet, in all videos I’ve seen so far they don’t look particularly good together. The fact that I always get strong Bai Zi Hua vibes from Mark is not helping at all.

Just looking at the trailer alone, so excited for 3L3W!! Read the book translation and can really see this going be a very close to it. In the beginning I didn’t think Mark Chao a good cast for Yehau, but after seeing g the trailer. They have tons of chemistry with load of crying scenes. Love them already! I got their love and their pain just through the trailer alone! Viki have a page for this too!! Can’t Wait!!
