Hot dang! It’s December already…2017 is coming to an end. I can’t believe it. How time just flew over our head this year. We still have another month worth of dramas to watch! This is about half of them. Lol….

New Promos: Lu Han’s Sweet Combat, Zhang Han’s Here to Heart, Yang Jing Cheng’s The Butterfly Lovers 2017
Just started my official night shift and it’s so weird on the body. I’m usually a night owl but after working the night hours, I just slumped right into bed without brushing my teeth!! (I did floss.) Lol.

Butterfly Lovers switches out Lu Zhuo for Chen Meng Xi
Such a sudden announcement. They even released a small promo video just hours before that. But if anything, your health comes first. Actor Lu Zhuo who plays Zhu Ying Tai has been reported sick for many days and still persisted in filming. But alas, director Chen Peng and team have decided to let him rest while they replaced him with female actress Nikki Chen Meng Xi. Fans are bewildered but I think it’s a sound decision after all. I won’t prod for more details and let’s all wish him a speedy recovery. Work can wait, your health can’t.
Yang Jing Cheng and Lu Zhuo’s Butterfly Lovers begins filming
Another production begins rolling! Remake of Butterfly Lovers starring two male leads, Yang Jing Cheng and Lu Zhuo, from the director that brought us Love is More Than a A Word and Till Death Tear Us Apart. Though my heart is at the edge of straying to the handsome second male lead played by Lin Feng Song. Anyhoo, nice details and gentle colors, I like the costume designers of Chen Peng’s productions.
Chen Peng to adapt Butterfly Lovers into a Boy-Boy Romance
Chen Peng may be a young director, but he is certainly bold in his approach of promoting gay dramas. Graduated from Capital Normal University, he’s the chairman of his own production company. Recall that he was the director for two webdramas, featuring the same leads in the first ancient gay drama (Love is More Than A Word) to a republican series (Till Death Tear Us Apart). And here he goes again, remaking one of the four Chinese classic folktales, The Butterfly Lovers (梁山伯与祝英台) into a boy-boy love story.
