Official Posters of Zhao Li Ying in The Legend of Chusen

A beautiful start to my day! Lol. I can go to work with a dancing heart. Boss, a happy employee is coming your way! =D You see? I’m very easy to please… Anyway, with Zhao Li Ying on board, the whole main cast is finally assembled. Looks like she knows she won’t live long cause on her weibo, she said, “For/Because of Love, I can die without regret.” We know, girl, we know. xD

Leaked pictures of Zhao Li Ying for The Legend of Chusen

I am upset right now. More convinced that she couldn’t say yes when the reporters asked her because it’s a surprise for netizens and fans. Her answer gave me hope that maybe she won’t do it! The one time I wished she wouldn’t take on a drama…then she does. She’ll playing the role of sleeping beauty Bi Yao, you know the role that no one wanted?! Bi Yao isn’t the main lead in the book but she gathers the most sympathy because she (and her body) basically disappears once she falls into the coma after saving the hero.

Legend of Chusen’s sleeping beauty struggles to land actress

So I’ve been following this news for a few weeks and there is something wrong if no one wants the role. Lol. Angelababy was originally signed on to the play the other female lead – or as I would like to call her, Sleeping Beauty aka Bi Yao. She’s Ghost King’s daughter and falls into a deep coma after saving our male lead (confirmed Li Yi Feng), paving the way for him to enter the dark side and become her dad’s right hand man, Gui Li (Ghost Tears). Now, Zhao Li Ying‘s name has been thrown into the mix for a few weeks already and I was confused too. But at the New Year Show for Hunan, Li Yi Feng claimed that he doesn’t know who would play Bi Yao (of course, dude is not even on filming set yet!) Then at the weibo awards, reporters asked Li Ying about the news and she said she’s not sure. So either she’s withholding information or her name is just used to hype up the drama.

Either way, I don’t want her to take on this drama. Take a break!

First Costumes revealed for Li Yi Feng’s The Legend of Chusen

So I haven’t been talking about this drama since…the last time, mainly because so many things change week after week! Because of the push back in production, some of the earlier confirmed actors had to bow out. Production began 3 days ago on the December 5th, and the crew has been releasing costumes for some of its characters. Where is Li Yi Feng? He’s busy promoting movies and doing CFs. Lol. As for Angelababy…sigh. I’m confused now because of the constant yes and no from the news. I guess we will get our confirmation once they release her character posters. As for now, take a look at the sea of blue in the designed costumes for Andy Yang Zi, TFBOYS, Qin Jun Jie, and more! The Legend of Chusen: Qing Yun Zhi (诛仙:青云志), is adapted from a Chinese fanasy novel Zhu Xian written by Xiao Ding (a game version called Jade Dynasty (read more about the game story)) and follows the epic battles between the human sects (main one being Qing Yun sect) with thesupposedly demigod tribes over the secrets of immortality and martial arts invincibility.

Step aside, Zhu Mountain, we have a new sect to bash! Lol. JK. I hope this righteous sect will be portrayed better. 🙂
