Proud of Love: Episode 1 – 2 Recap “Marriage Proposal.”

Imagine my excitement when the fluffy first episodes of Proud of Love first came out. I’m usually not into gender switching but I was totally reading the novel translation from hui3r before there was even any drama news and it was pretty comedic – a very light read. I’ve been on drama block for so long, from busyness and other ‘official’ matters it’s been good to have a break 😛 even if it is temporary. A ton of things happen even if the plot line so far does have a lot of loopholes. Yerp. Guess who proposes? And so early into the drama…?

Sparrow: Episode 1 “Flightless.”

 photo main.jpg

Happy to have another slick spy drama to grace my screen. It’s a familiar Chinese-versus-Japanese plot, but this time it stars two sworn brothers who looks like they are willing to betray each other at the drop of the hat (as cute as the bromance is). This ought to be interesting.

Just One Smile is Very Alluring: Episode 1 “A Virtual Proposal.”

This first episode is a delight to watch and to recap. I think the show nailed the execution and improved the plot. If you like the book, I think you will enjoy this adaptation.

A Fist Within Four Walls: Episode 1 & 2 “Fallen Heroes.”

Ohhh. I like what I’m seeing so far. While Chusen crawls at a snail’s place, TVB’s A Fist Within Four Walls is giving me the burst of adrenaline I need! What I love most is that we have several real martial artists in the house, plus the fact that the main leads and supporting characters all went through vigorous training to perform the required stunts. The result is some nice hand-to-hand action scenes! I miss those hic! hah! huh! sounds so much. Wuxia dramas from Mainland series are just not the same with heavy reliance on CGI and fancy shooting lights.

Dicky Cheung, I miss you.

The Legend of Chusen: Episode 1 “A Hero’s Path.”

 photo x.jpg

Already, the show is out for the hero’s blood using the tried-and-true method of killing off the protagonist’s loved ones and leaving him in a strange and hostile environment. But our underdog is foolishly kind and like attract like. Pretty good for a first episode.
