Nick Cheung, Myolie Wu, and Zeng Shun Xi in a battle of right and wrong in Justice Is Mine

Justice Is Mine (绝命法官) is a joint production between TVB and youku! Per Wiki: Qin Yu, who used to be an upright judge, covered up the truth that his son caused an accident and injured the son of a gang leader in a traffic collision. To avenge his son, the gang leader stirred up a storm of bloodshed. Tang Xuan, a policewoman, stuck to justice and pursued the truth relentlessly.

Airing 9/28~

Thanks to all these joint productions, I get to see my era-tvb actors back on screen in HD. The siu sang are now in daddy roles; before they were the sons. Lol. Roger as a father of three in Golden Forest, which aired a week ago.

Roger Kwok returns to dramaland in Golden Forest, a joint production between TVB and Tencent

I guess this is one way for TVB to stay alive. Quite a number of joint productions these past few years. I haven’t seen Roger in a long time! Golden Forest (金式森林) follows our billionaire CEO father who has a change of mind and heart after a car accident. His post-accidents decisions create a war within a family seen as perfect and traditional.

Airing 9/17~

TVB’s Golden Couple Louis Koo and Jessica Hsuan reunite for magazine spread

And of course one of my favorite golden couples who collaborated in many productions in the past! The most memorable to me is definitely Detective Investigation Files IV where I met my match in the most twisted love triangles ever! Like you just couldn’t pick a girl for the boy because both ladies went through so much for him and because of him. Aiyaaa!! Oh the two couples in there…. Sunny Chan and Charmaine Sheh was the other unfortunate couple. I want to re-watch but my heart is not ready for the turbulence. XD

ATV’s rebirth, to remake popular series My Date With a Vampire as a webdrama

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

My Date With A Vampire was the series I fell hard for vampires and its hunters. Lol! If you have watched ATV series, chances are you loved their Vampire franchise (both Date and Vampire Expert) as well because its one of their biggest runaway hits over TVB series. Its a classic romance with our heroine hailed from generations of ghostbusters and our hero who turned into a vampire after helping her ancestors. 60 years later, past mistakes meet present problems. The story is so intricately written and all the characters are connected in more than one way. Like Huan Zhu Ge Ge, part three doesn’t exist for me!

The Unholy Alliance (TVB): Episode 1 – 10 “Nina Paw in Power.”

Welcome back to dramaland, Nina!

I have been looking forward to TVB series, The Unholy Alliance, for a while now and it’s finally aired! With the same production team (from Jazz Boon) and main cast lifted from last year’s hit series, A Fist Within Four Walls, The Unholy Alliance is considered its modern brother, led by veteran actress Nina Paw.

Deep in the Realm of Conscience features heavy head pieces

Deep in the Realm of Conscience (深宮計) is the second installment of Beyond the Realm of Conscience, released 8 years ago, led by Charmaine Sheh and Tavia Yeung. Yes, I did watch it, being an avid fan of the leads and all but the characters were written in one extreme or the other, making it not a very stimulating watch. The second part has cast leads in Steven Ma, Annie Liu, and Nancy Wu. It will be set during the Tang Dynasty, ruled by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, same as Glory of the Tang Dynasty.

My neck hurts just looking at the head gears!

Drama-Binging: What Are You Watching? (2)

Thanks for everyone for participating last time! I think this post will just be my random spazzing of everything under the sun, so feel free to rave and rant about anything and everything, and who knows you might find that one person who shares the same opinion. =D

TVB 2016 Anniversary Awards Ceremony: “The Fist Wave!”

Don’t you like my post title? Hee! I have only watched a handful of tvb dramas this year so every time I tune into the anniversary awards, I’m surprised at the same faces every year. Lol. Oh Tvb, you need to groom new talents! You can’t compete with the same names every year with other productions!
