Tan Song Yun, Song Wei Long, and Zhang Xin Cheng form makeshift family in Go Ahead

Go Ahead (以家人之名) follows the heart-warming story of a makeshift family of three non-biological siblings in Tan Song Yun, Song Wei Long, and Zhang Xin Cheng, raised by two fathers, Tu Song Yan and Zhang Xi Lin. Because of their troubled childhood, the now adults must find a way to overcome their insecurities and psychological problems to become helpful members of society.

This and Dating in The Kitchen are the few modern dramas I’m looking forward in a while! GAH! I just love the topic of makeshift family! Airing soon, might be in a few days. 😉

Symphony’s Romance with Lin Yun and Zhang Xin Cheng finally gets air date

Nodame Cantabile is a manga by Tomoko Ninomiya and has been adapted as live-action television dramas by Japan (with Hiroshi Tamaki and Juri Ueno) and Korea (with Joo Won and Shim Eun Kyung). The new English title is Symphony’s Romance with leads in Zhang Xin Cheng of My Huckleberry Friends and Lin Yun of Battle Through The Heaven. I personally haven’t finished either version but have heard of numerous praises for the Japanese version, for capturing and meshing the quirkiness of its characters and classical music seamlessly.

Airing 6/21!

First Impression: What do you think of Skate Into Love with Wu Qian and Zhang Xin Cheng?

Adapted from the novel Rock Sugar And Pear Stew written by Jiu Xiao Qi, Skate Into Love features an adorable romance between two people who are fated to meet again chasing after their dreams on ice. He’s on a mission for payback but proximity to her sparks a different kind of feeling and in return, he helps her discover her passion for speed-skating again.

Airing 3/19! This looks wicked adorable and I have faith in the leads!
