Body-Swapping shenanigans in The Day of Becoming You with Zhang Xin Cheng and Liang Jie
The Day of Becoming You (变成你的那一天) is an upcoming romantic comedy with Zhang Xin Cheng and Liang Jie. The story follows leader of a popular boyband swapping soul/body with a reporter on the same birthday. Suddenly and unprepared, they begin to navigate their different lives and roles in life, by guiding and covering up for each other. And of course, they gradually become closer. The body-swapping shenanigans remind me of Korean drama Secret Garden except she’s not a stunt-woman who uses her fist but a reporter who uses her pen (words)!
Liang Jie tries to not lie to Xin Yun Lai in Mr. Honesty
Previously known as Don’t Lie to Your Lover, Mr. Honesty (不说谎恋人) is the new title for upcoming romantic comedy starring Liang Jie and Xin Yun Lai. Because of our hero’s honesty, our heroine finds out her boyfriend has been cheating on her. While interviewing for a new job, she finds herself as his new secretary. Well, only there is one problem, she’s prone to lying, which lands her in many comical situations at work.

You Are My Destiny: Remake of Fated To Love You with Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie
My mom is too happy about this remake. She has watched the original 10x times and other remakes 10x times. I’m still scratching my head about what is hooking her. Lol. Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie reunite for fans of The Eternal Love (Yes they are reuniting for Season 3.)
They have been dropping stills all day today and finally a trailer. Air date anytime now ~

First Impression: What do you think of the Handsome Siblings with Hu Yi Tian and Chen Zhe Yuan?
My first version of this story by Gu Long was the Taiwanese version with Jimmy Lin and Alec Su, followed by the TVB version with Tony Leung and Hugo Ng, then HK version with Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse. In all the versions, the mischievous brother (to be played by Chen Zhe Yuan) who was raised up by a group of villains is almost always the reason to continue watching. He’s unconventional, a prankster, and has tricks up his butt-hole. Lol. The newer version seems to favor the other twin more (played by Hu Yi Tian, he’s the more popular actor of the two), who was raised in a female-only palace, by a cold lady conspiring to see the brothers at each other’s throats. Why? Because their father rejected her and eloped with one of her slave girls! And this is her revenge plan.
The drama will air on CCTV, Qiyi, and Netflix, starting 1/16.

Another wuxia remake is here! I have watched two adaptations before, not sure I’ll be tuning in for this one.

Xing Zhao Lin reunites with Liang Jie in Fated to Love You remake, You Are My Destiny
What’s so remarkable about this story that we need another remake? I don’t know. I never managed to finish the series. Lol. BUT Kappy’s mom is a die-hard fan of the original Taiwanese drama Fated to Love You with Chen Qiao En and Ethan Juan.
The remake reunites The Eternal Love‘s OTP, Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie, and the new title is You Are My Destiny.
