Hi, I’m Wuxia Gege, and I’m about to get canceled. Again. Maybe. This time, for roasting those who hate this drama.

No, I’m not gonna do that. (I might)

*cough*peoplewhohatethishavepoortaste*cough*

What I am gonna do is praise this drama to the high heavens.

Chinese Paladin 4 begins filming with Ju Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan

Chinese Paladin 4 (仙剑奇侠传4) has commenced filming with their leads in Ju Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan and some supporting faces that I recognize in Mao Xiao Hui and Sun Ying Hao. As many might know/remember, the Chinese Paladin franchise is adapted from a series of video games also known as The Legend of Sword and Fairy, and the most famous drama adaptation being 2005’s Chinese Paladin with Hu Ge and Liu Yi Fei. In CP4 (considered the 5th installment, prequel to the CP3), the video game synopsis is described below:

Yun Tian He, a young man who had been living alone on a mountain peak, was on a regular boar hunting trip when he came across the young woman Han Ling Sha, from a clan of short-lived tomb raiders, attempting to break into his parents’ tomb, culminating in the destruction of the tomb, and setting him on a journey alongside Ling Sha to the outside world to uncover his parents’ past. On the journey, they encountered and befriended the adopted daughter of the magistrate of Shou Yang, Liu Meng Li, who seemed to have connections to Tian He’s father, and a skilled and kind swordmaster who trained at Mt. Kunlun’s Qionghua School since a young age, Murong Zi Ying.

What do you think of the cast? Would you prefer lesser known faces?

Mao Zi Jun, Zhang Yao, and Lu Xiao Yu confirm drama adaptation of novel The Story of the Bat

I apologize, I had this post in the draft section for 2 months…. o.o

Adapted from the BL novel written by Feng Nong, The Story of the Bat (夜燕白) and stars Mao Zi Jun, Zhang Yao, and Lu Xiao Yu. Lol. Another boy-love novel coming your way. Our first male lead, plays by Zhang Yao, has lived quietly since birth; he’s the unfavorable third son of the Bai family. Why unfavorable? He’s the result of Master Bai’s traitorous nights with a blind girl who rescued him and they were trapped for a short period of time together. He and his mother were taken in under the disguise that he’s Madam’s Bai’s son (she has two biological sons). The poor child is shunned by people in the Bai Manor and is not allowed to learn Kung Fu. He’s sent away to learn education and only returns once a year to visit. In this story, he is the BAT – living and thriving in the dark, beautiful and alone, harboring a heart of resentment. Mao Zi Jun plays the other male lead – leader of jianghu, master of the demon sect. Powerful and arrogant, who would have thought he would fall head-over-heels for the unfavorable third son at first glance? He sacrifices, waits impatiently, and even gives up his respected status for love.

Hohoho, the novel sounds awesome but turned into a drama, what will be preserved, what will be removed?

Palace intrigues in the hands of Yu Zheng!

The Legend of Hao Lan is based on the life story of Queen Dowager Zhao, mother of Qin Shi Huang, first emperor of a unified China in 221 BC. According to the drama synopsis, our heroine was born into a prominent Zhao family but is targeted by her stepmother and loses everything. She’s bought by Lü Buwei (Nie Yuan) who then gifts her to Prince Yiren (Mao Zi Jun, yay! leading!), later King Zhuangxiang of Qin, who is held as a political hostage in the Kingdom of Zhao. The fight for power and love begins~

I saw some clips on youtube and they really torture Jin Yan to no end. O_O!
